Savoie with a one-time rocket to get the Warriors within 1 with 2:47 to go

Apparently it's customary to wear a poppy at the Memorial Cup - first time I've seen that.
-
Savoie with a good chance from the slot in the opening minutes.
Looking forward to seeing a couple of our highly-touted prospects perform over the next week for the Memorial Cup!

It's kind of crazy how Canada can't produce any elite goalies lately.

what rock star NHLer wants to spend the whole winter in WNY with a disfunctional franchise when you could go live in Vegas, Cali or Fla all winter with well-run contender franchises? Sabres will continue to have this problem and will need to grow their own talent, as the better established players all have no-trade clauses in their contracts.
I don't know that that's the case. Maybe you need more Canadian kids used to winter in the lineup. But an NHL player who bases where he wants to play on the weather - I don't want that guy on my team. Let's not forget the best player on the planet plays in Edmonton.

Iginla would be the only prospect i want in this draft class. His dad was 1 of my favorite players of all time and to see him come to our games to watch him would be amazing. The player is not necessarily like his father in every way but his brand of hockey is exactly what we're looking for.
Have to be careful taking him too high from being a little biased by his last name. Having said that, I'd take him at 11.

Brock Boeser is out for game 7 - that's a tough blow to the Canucks.
-
Cozens is dominating this game, what a performance. Power is playing great too.

Bedard causes a penalty shot - big save. This game has a bit of everything, lol

Cozens ties it up! Retribution.

Every time I watch the replay it looks worse
Fiala gets five and a game for the hit
-
Brutal knee on knee on Cozens, lucky he seems okay

…but it is a problem if said core is overpaid.
I bet the last few years of the contracts will be bargains at that point.

Bruins elimination night is always a nice night.

It's not really a cap problem when you have the core of your young team locked up for years in what will be seen as very reasonable contracts.

My daughter, who can't usually drink North American beer due to food allergies, has no such problems in Europe.
She was in Prague this time last year and raved about the beer.
I spent a week in Prague a few years ago. One day was completely dedicated to beer sampling. What a day, haha. Nightcap was a fancy absinthe in a very creepy underground bar. Can't recommend beautiful Prague enough.

Just wanted to comment on the passing of long-time TSN broadcaster here in Canada Darren Dutchyshen, who passed away yesterday from prostate cancer at the far too young age of 57. We both grew up in Saskatchewan in the same era. The only time I saw Dutchy in person was at Grey Cup 2013 in Regina. We were in the bar in the Hotel Saskatchewan supporting the hometown Saskatchewan Roughriders, and we were having almost as much fun as he was. Good dude, represented "Saskie" well. RIP

The Warriors win game 4 tonight 4-2, completing the unlikely sweep of the Winterhawks and booked their ticket to the Memorial Cup. Savoie with a goal. The bars in MJ will be hopping tonight

Moose Jaw Warriors continued their clutch play with an OT win tonight over Portland to take a 3-0 series lead. With the next two games in Moose Jaw, they have a great chance to end it at home. Savoie with an assist.

My first thought when I heard this was that heads would be exploding over this on Sabrespace. Of course, the whining is so predictable and lame.
Good move by the team to keep him in the organization with a solid chance to take over head coach in a couple years.

Going home up 2-0 - Go Warriors! I don't believe they've ever made it to the Memorial Cup before. Savoie with one apple tonight. They're doing great for a team that only finished third in the eastern conference. You never know once you get in....

Moose Jaw took the first game of the series against the Portland Winterhawks. It looks like our boy Savoie scored the winner with just over three minutes left in the game.

Entertaining game to watch, Savoie was one of the best players on the ice, as he should be. Moose Jaw already has a must win game coming up, things move fast in this tourney.
