  1. NHL, NHLPA agree on mandatory visors: http://www.nhl.com/i...id=nhl:topheads Post Competition Committee Meeting Video with media on hand. @PR_NHL Here's a look at proposed shallower net, 4' x 6' opening of the net will remain the same, only depth reduced by 4" pic.twitter.com/aDlEhK3xId
  2. Maybe they'll also be checking for embellishment on high sticking calls?
  3. COMPETITION COMMITTEE RECOMMENDS VISORS FOR FUTURE NHLERS: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=424736 The NHL's Competition Committee has recommended the mandatory wearing of visors be grandfathered in at its meeting in Toronto on Tuesday. Players who have played 26 or more regular season or playoff games will not be forced to wear a visor under the new agreement. The use of shallower nets to be used next season as well as a hybrid icing rule to be tested in preseason were among other recommended rule changes proposed on Tuesday. The Committee also proposed additional video review for high-sticking double minors.
  4. Isles Captain Mark Streit to be a UFA.
  5. Not without better goaltending by Fleury and/or Vokoun. Did the NHL mandate the increase in size of the net in the Penguin's D-zone?
  6. +1000 Don't care who wins the Cup, as long as it's not Boston.
  7. That was an embarrassing episode for many reasons. Ottawa Senators should make a pitch for former Ottawa 67's winger Bryan Bickell: http://www.ottawasun...r-bryan-bickell Wouldn't we just love to see Bickell running Sabres into the wall next season?
  8. No refs will push him around either.
  9. That's why I said 3rd line role. A guy like Bickell's value isn't measured in just his goal and assist output. I'd argue that guys like him are difference makers. Those differences don't always show up on a score sheet.
  10. Yep, let's hope the Sabres keep matching up little guys like Gerbe and Ennis against big guys next season so we can continue to see the Sabres hemmed in their zone. They don't need any big, fast, gritty, tough, players who have enough talent to legitimately play a 3rd line role. I asked how many game have you seen Bickell play. Noticed that you didn't answer that.
  11. You said his numbers were average...what numbers were you referring to? How many times have you even watched Bickell play?
  12. You're right...let's hope the Sabres get 4 lines of 30+ goal scorers. Maybe Kevin Porter and Nathan Gerbe can score 30 each too.
  13. It's not just because of the playoff run. He was good for the Hawks in the regular season too. A 27 year old with Size, Speed, and Grit to go along with some talent...... Nooo, the Sabres don't need anyone like that.
  14. Pens will be better in game two. The layoff hurt them and I'll bet they'll bury some chances unlike in game one.
  15. Yeah, let's be negative and sit on our hands forever because of one move.
  16. Hopefully by the Sabres: @EyeOnHockey Bryan Bickell's gonna get paid this summer with this postseason
  17. Yep, I'd like to see the Sabres go after him as I've been advocating: http://forums.sabrespace.com/topic/21765-2013-2014-roster-projection-thoughts/page__st__200#entry485177
  18. The more I watch this guy, the more I like his game: ‏@NHL Why switching Bryan Bickell (@bbicks29) to the first line has been a winning move for the @NHLBlackhawks. http://ow.ly/lCLKG #CHIvsLAK
  19. I figured Lepkowski would be the priority before Jacobs. Maybe the term wasn't satisfactory, but who knows.
  20. @DarrenDreger No supplemental discipline for Cooke's hit on McQuaid.
  21. It's only sports! Pittsburgh fans hope Boston 'gets bombed again'
  22. Would have lost $ on that.
  23. Marchand only gets two? WTF?
  24. Good to see Lucic get knocked on his a$$
  25. @jessespector Corsi leaders today: Kings - Dustin Penner +6, Scuderi/Voynov +2 … Blackhawks - Bryan Bickell +12, Marian Hossa +10, Leddy/Roszival +9
