  1. I hope not, but it is there, the ECHL is probably most affected.
  2. As in college teams become the minor leagues
  3. With the money being thrown around, the age ranges and the new CBA of holding draft picks. I fear for the minor leagues. Rochester is on notice...
  4. Fair point, But Crosby to me doesn't excite, yet he is sneaky great. There are players that in space of 10 seconds make you remember a 60 minute game. That was a Bert as others call him. There is a picture of my little sister youngest of 5, only girl, sitting on Rocket Richard's lap. As my older brother told me, Dad always when he went Toronto, say Rocket was the best ever, from his time line. Props to Crosby, but he to me never stood out, and maybe that is his gift. McDavid is a game changer.
  5. Is another year of suffering, help us land a player from Pegs other Squad? Is worth it?
  6. Sorry for underestimating your age Promo should set the range
  7. And not to take for Bossy, great player and if I recall, better person, but boy the Sabres whiffed on the Seiling pick when the cat that was Bossy was there. Seiling was ok. He married a local girl on the Island, yet as his brother Rod they cared more about the trotters.
  8. And if Martin hadn't hurt his knee and the repairs available today which weren't back then he'd a Hall of Famer, not first ballot but he'd be in. Andreychuk had Espo goals, Martin was Bossy before Bossy
  9. Ah thank you that what is needed, especially Martin to Robert to a sneaky back pass to Gilbert, Pegs bought the team remembering those highlights, hopefully he remember that, and at the same time it nice to remember gifts that players gave to the fans in the Aud
  10. You miss the nuance, Gilbert is not Gilbert, don't blame yourself, probably just a younger!
  11. This is the beauty of his game, well said even by proxy of a future scout
  12. Giving this iteration of team, maybe we need to look back upon of those teams, and thank ourselves that we were blessed at a time
  13. Yes he did, but shout was to Perrault, the best forward line ever was Gretzky in middle with Perrault and Lafleur as linemates in the Canada Cup 1981, sucks he broke a leg, but crowd was unstoppable for 2 games
  14. Gretzky was from Brantford ON, he got through the afore of cable watching the Sabres on Channel 2 at the time... Yikes aging self. Gretzky at the time was a legend in minor league hockey in ON at the age of 11, me a few years younger, on my team but he destroyed our NF ON team, he said at the time Gilbert was the best ever, which made sense, Gilbert was built for hockey like Secutrait《yeah bad spelling) was built built for racing Gilbert if you ever saw him, behind his own net, weaving yards to the opposing net was a treasure, no could do that not Howe, Orr was close but Gil had a gift
  15. Yeah it is July and things can get stagnate. As a Buffalo crowd, we have had amazing players from Gilbert to Dom, as much we are in the sucky era, Gilbert doing a 200 feet skate and scoring, we don't and probably will never sèe that again, by any hockey player, as I witnessed as a child
  16. Bo seems to have a good agent. The agent knows as other GM's know last year was outlier when he didn't get concussed. It definitely plays a factor in trade value, and money going forward, along the higher insurance rate for him. Lafontaine had a great agent soaking the Rangers so he was set for life. Bo is not a Lafontaine, and I think his agent knows that 7 million in arb, will set him up for retirement. Don't ever wish upon another being taken out the game earlier than on their timeline, but concussion issues a factor in this...
  17. I still to this day, as a kid going to games with the family's Red Section owned in the Aud, seeing great games, seeing great heart Sabres. Beating the Soviets, allowed as a kid to get into the press box. Saying "Hey to the Mr. Sy and Mr. Norty. As I grew I saw passion even when the Sabres faltered a bit. But they were constant, a hope. Rigas was what was but hope was there. Golisano stepped in and hope was there. But this crowd, your losing a 55 year old fan that spans the Sabres time line and I am older than 55, not by much. Adams has to go. He has killed the hope of younger generations, just so he can maintain his lifestyle. Flim Flam man, a carnival barker, a siding salesman..
  18. Gotta give Adams credit, wraps up Draft, Prospect Camp and Free Agency in 6 days... Now he gets to hang at Chautauga Lake until November, when he'll have to explain the putrid product... Rinse and repeat... SMH...
  19. Never questioned his smarts, questioned why he thought he was smarter than others and yeah, he does come off like that, saying trope words, saying all the robotic things so it can explain away. Maybe the problem is that media just accepts it and doesn't delve. Shame on them, but as far I am concerned he his just a mannequin dressed for success in a window hawking wares on Main Street when 50 years ago it mattered.
  20. I would have killed for JD, sadly we at college bargain opted for 1.5 litre of Popov Vodka, plastic bottle and $2.19 back in the day. Still questioning whether Popov was vodka... But the bottle bounced!🤣🤣🤣
  21. I also, the terrible thing about Kim probably is a factor and never would wish that upon another, I'm sure it devasted all involved. But I question how did Adams ingratiate himself so deeply. Ted Black was a nightmare, but he moved on, Adams séems intent on being Satan (No not that Slovak star)... tearing down a proud franchise because he's the smartest voice in the room. That's the smary thing about him, not my fault, I am so smarter than all you asking questions. He needs a comeuppance, reminding him that he reached his 'Peter Princple'... Never employed again, but yeah, how did he employ his 'snake oil' sales pitch and the Pegulas bought it... No respect for a man who denies it isn't his fault, that we see it is.
