  1. They are really keeping the defensive pairs together?
  2. I thought Kesserling would be with Power. Is the plan to ease him in at bottom pair?
  3. A lot of people thought our starting goalie tandem this year was going to be UPL and Levi. Wouldn’t it be funny if we waived UPL, he clears, and reports to Rochester? There would be the starting duo…. Just not in Buffalo.
  4. I’m sure this has been said but I don’t have the time today to read the whole thread. But it’s been ONE GAME for Ellis and UPL. The likely odds are Ellis won’t keep playing as good as he did in his one game. UPL may or may not play as bad as he did in his one game.
  5. 3, 5, 7 and 12 were ok/good. The rest of the trades were bad and hurt this franchise
  6. Really? If that’s all we can get for Power then it’s a hard pass. He might not be there yet, but he has immense potential. He’d be our top guy if we didn’t have Dahlin.
  7. Won’t happen. We do a terrible disservice to our prospects and throw them on the 4th line with not great support.
  8. That’s a really good point. Let the smaller market teams line Buffalo lose so the bigger market teams can make the NHL lots and lots of more money.
  9. Bye Tuch. Actually. I’ll be ok with 10 million or maybe even a little more. It’s the length I have a problem with. We can’t give him 8.
  10. There’s a couple players that took team friendly deals. If there’s one person that should take a team friendly deal it’s Tuch. And if he won’t then let him go. Make it clear to the fan base that he was asking for too much and for too long. He won’t get the type of contract he’s seeking from any other team in the league. This is the Skinner contract situation all over again. We’re going to overpay and for too long because the team feels like they can’t let him walk.
  11. Tuch and his camp knows how bad it’ll look if the Sabres don’t resign him and they are probably using that in negotiations. There’s probably not going to be a hometown discount for the hometown guy.
  12. That’s a pretty good deal for the savior of the franchise.
  13. I’m not saying you’re wrong. But if we gave up Peterka for a 4th line guy and a bottom pairing defenseman, I’m gonna think we got hosed worse than I do now.
  14. No. That 5 million left is right about where Terry wants to be. Unfortunately I think we stay put.
