  1. I am sorry, but if there are not coaching and or assistant changes after this season, i will be following the Avs next year. I am tired of the Buffalo shampoo..... wash rinse repeat. This team has show zero effort in trying to win. Just watching the game last night, the fans were showing as little to no passion as the team was. I get Donny "NO NUTS" is not going anywhere, but they need to flush the assistants and hire a freaking POHO. This team needs accountability as it has absolutely none!!! The best Sabres are the ones that are traded to other teams.

Michael Russo, the Wild beat reporter says the Wild might be considering trading Marco Rossi mainly because they don’t think he is big enough for their type of team.

He has 37 points as a rookie including 20 goals. Pals with Quinn.

He would be an ideal 3C for next year but then what is the cost and how many 5’9 forwards do they want. Would let Savoie and Östlund develop in Rochester.

I would offer Krebs+ or swapping 1st round picks with them or maybe Joker.

He is a very good two way hockey player just coming into his own.

Ok i know in my post above i said size does not matter, but we need some bigger bodies, unless we are going to get rid of someone like Krebs, Oloffson etc.

  3. Totally agree with a lot of the thoughts on Benson. Should he have left in the juniors, Yes. Has he played well with the club, Yes. He has an unlimited supply of energy and brings it every shift!!! He forechecks, he fights on the boards, he back checks like crazy! The rest of the team can learn a lot from his actions! As he gets older and gets his man bod and gets stronger, he is going to be a bitch to play against. He has crazy talent that is waiting to bloom as we have seen in spurts. You all know that i scream we are easy to play against, but with 4-5 more players that play like him (Size or not) we will be hard to play against.

  4. This team is broken and KA and Granato have no idea how to fix it. The whole world can see their issues but them. How many different announcers call them out and say they are soft and easy to play against and there have been zero changes there. Last night was like watching boys play against men!!! We were out hit, out worked, out skated, out everything. Sad thing is next year we will see the same as i honestly in my heart do not see TP doing a damn thing. I will always be a Sabres fan, but not of this group. From KA down to the players, there is no plan, no heart, no accountability and no soul to this organization/Team.

  5. I would say yes if i knew he initiated the call to trade Mitts. But i will lay money, he was not. Just listen to him talk about his players and it does not sound like a business. It sounds like he is talking about family and friends. I am sorry, but his job should be one thing and one thing only. Make a team good enough to win a cup. We are not even close. Every year it is the same thing. No aggressiveness, no forecheck, easy team to play against. This has not changed in years! Talent may be there, but not the grit and passion it takes to win and even make the playoffs. So, to be honest and answer the question, i do not think he is aggressive enough.

Look at the players recently drafted.  Savoie, Kulich, Rosen, Östlund -  none of them meet that description.  The only way we get that is trades and/or UFAs.

Totally agree. That's why i have been hard on KA. what this team really needs, he is not getting. Skilled non physical easy to play against forwards are not the answer. They need that power forward that lives in front of the net and cause chaos. At least 2 of them. Maybe trade one of our skilled dmen for a good stay at home physical dman that won't break at first contact. (cough cough....Muel!)

Yes, we aren’t making it. It’s a wonder, with our amazing roster that’s just unluckily underachieving as if it wasn’t imminently predictable all offseason

Not underachieving, not built correctly. We need different type of talent that we currently do not have enough of. Aggressive net front presence, heavy forecheckers and real hitters that other teams fear. That will back teams off from doing it to us and allow our talent more room to skate and do what they need to do. Our defence is actually set in stone for the future, just a forward or 2 or 3....LOL Getting Quinn back will help as well.
