Because he’d fetch the most? Because he’d hurt to lose the least? Somewhere in the middle, or other?

He actually played very well last year and was top 3 in all the good numbers i believe. If he is not going to be utilized, he should be a great trade piece.

  2. All these great young prospects make incredible trade pieces for a bring in now good player. They all cannot make the Sabres team. Use some of them while they are HOT!!!! (NOt turning this into a keep him or him conversation!!) We have many pieces, i honestly do not care as i am not the pro, but dammit, USE THEM!!!

  3. I am totally ok with Seth being brought in. He has shown that he can get the AHL team to the playoffs despite the crap makeup of the team he was given. (Good players but no grit or bigger vets) This gives him a couple of years under Ruff and some good experience.

Now as for the rest.... 🤢🤮 I love Ellis, but he better be nothing then encouragement or workout coach. Very disappointed there was no "New" blood brought in to the staff. Hoping that Seth is given a big role and runs things and the other asst coaches are doing little.

That type of thinking is how you let Zach Benson fall to 13.

OK, Zach is an oddity. Let's not say that is the norm. I understand what you are saying but this team needs to add to the organization what it is missing, not adding to what it already has in spades. This team needs sandpaper from AHL on up. That's not even questionable at this point. But i will admit your point is definitely a valid one.

Keep the pick, the pipeline can never have enough "potential" for the future.

There is truth in your statement but also some misgivings. There will not be enough room for every prospect we have to make the team. Unless we are going to let them go for nothing, they need to be used to get something that will help the team win now. One year without a a 1st round pick is not going to hurt our talent pipeline.

  6. Totally agree with this. We do NOT need another prospect. As of now we are loaded with them and there is no way we will have room for all of them in Buffalo. It seems almost daily, another Sabres prospect is making headlines somewhere in the world. If KA does not work out a good trade this offseason for someone that will help the Sabres now, he needs to be immediately shown the door. There are plenty of prospects of players that can be had if the price is right. Time to make that move!

I got debt coming out of my eyeballs. Once I get past that, I can reassess where I’m at.  I also think I can reduce the stress of my old job.  I have a different perspective and a lot more resources than I was used to.

I have been there and done that!!! I wish you the best in your new/old job!! Hope it provides the QOL that you deserve!!

Eh I know the ***** storm I’m walking into.  They say they’ve made changes but a culture that’s been entrenched for 35+ years dies hard.  It’s going to be more stress, a lot more responsibility and longer hours but I had to make the move for my family.  I haven’t slept in weeks.  Hoping once I start smoking again, I can get back to sleeping.

Hitting a wall every day at 2pm where I can barely keep my eyes open despite drinking coffee and energy drinks all day, has been taxing.  Great news, I’m at my lowest weight since college.  Bad news, I’m living like a 1950’s housewife slamming uppers, wired out of my gourd.

Sometimes less money and less stress is a lot better then more and more. What good does the extra money do if you are hating life and stressed to the core and cannot enjoy it. I have been a recruiter/Manager since 2002. I have had crap jobs where i had to take a second job and i have made great money where i am miserable always wondering if i was going to still be there the next year. It is hard to find that job that you love that pays great and i have been lucky to find that happy medium a couple of times, which includes my 21 years in the Navy. I hope you find that going back to your old job and the stress is not too bad. The recruiter part of me totally understands the actual needs of every person that i interview. I always tell my candidates that money is not worth it if you cannot enjoy the life to spend it.

  9. Been watching a lot of the western games and they definitely do not disappoint!!! Colorado is definitely looking like King of the West for now and the Dallas/Vegas games are incredible!! This is what exciting playoff hockey is! I would love to see Avs/Panthers in the final. That would be incredible!
