Both teams playing fast and chippy so far… Granato sent them out prepared -

Idk… Lot of young high end 1st Rd draft choices who aren’t near their ceiling yet

Forgive me in advance… Will play Devil’s Advocate… Why not trades??… Vegas and Seattle rose quickly in their divisions with a motley collection experienced players… Not suggesting a Murray or Botterill reprise… A willing owner and a savvy GM could improve our team with a couple of the right vets from winning programs… without sacrificing the future… Wouldn’t paying fans support a better team this season?… I think so We are risk averse, seems to me… Owner doesn’t want to spend the money… GM doesn’t want to assume the risk… Coach doesn’t know how to win at the NHL level… So the inexperienced players learn what Okposo, Girgensons, the fans, and the Pegula’s already know… It is planned and expected, no less For a risk averse owner and GM, it is a risky strategy if we develop a core of losers under long term contracts

Playing out of town takes pressure off the team… Looking for a win tonight Think Granato’s comments on why he didn’t save Anderson for his first return to Ottawa showed disrespect for Anderson… Unless Anderson signaled to Granato he didn’t care if he started tonight… Granato over-thought it… and demonstrated a shocking misunderstanding of human nature… Bet the team would have played harder for Anderson tonight

I don’t care what Granato says post game or pregame tomorrow… Don’t tell me this team isn’t hanging its collective head after six straight losses… Losing becomes a mental disease after it happens too often… There are too many examples in pro sports… Like I posted a week ago after the third straight loss… Our kids risk learning to fail instead of learning to succeed… Send JJ, Quinn, Krebs down to Rochester for a month to rediscover winning again… Let’s play with a few Amerks… At least they will play hungry… We have nothing to risk but our losing streak
