And they chanted "We're sorry Lindy" just recently. Apology was accepted by Mr. Ruff. All is well in NJ!
at least he gets there..........
NJ without any stars with 28 points and we with 9ml. Skinner and with 14...

The last game showed that the problems are mainly in defense. The opponent scores as much as he is allowed to.
Vancouver scored in one touch according to a well-established scheme, or when they were not prevented from hitting on goal.
You have to be more aggressive and block the shots. The goalkeeper needs to be secured.

Well there are a number of things wrong but the lack of production by multiple people is certainly contributing.
1) the slow build plan is their plan but it didn't need to be this slow imo and more should have been done to fill holes on the roster - we beat that discussion to a pulp in the summer and going into the season though. Opportunity missed imo but you don't win with an all rookie team.
2) There is no depth.
3) It's not a balanced team and lacks identity. Okay so we are the fast attacking team maybe but only part of the roster can play that way itself. There's simply too many rookies and you get multiple struggling rookies at once (and by rookie you can include the not quite there yet types who are a few years in)
4) Skinner
5) Skinner's contract
6) KO as captain. Is it working? I think not.
7) desire and a winning culture. It's slipping away. I can see it each game little by little. The blank looks, the lack of emotion. They're getting used to it AGAIN.
I could go on and rant all day but that's enough. Most of this team is just there, nothing else, and they just lack.
4, 5, 6 - our 100% mistakes. I agree to pay 9 millions for a good goalie, but not to such a weak forward..

But I am believe in this team. Screen my words cause we will be in Playoffs next spring.

In every league in every sport post junior high this happens. You don't think as 15 year old's' players see the other teams best player get a little shaken on a hit and just let up?
Sabres defense let up to everyone..

They all will try to hit him and make another injury as for Mittelshtadt

I liked that he was ready to drop the gloves in his first-ever NHL game. He looks like a keeper.
He looks like a real man. He defends teammates. Big respect to him.

Rangers tried to make another IR for Sabres when they hit Skinner and many others. Frankly, I don't want 9 million player on IR same as any other our guy...

As soon as we will have pair of good goalies in the net we will have a winning streak. Tokarski and UPL look not bad, but we need someone like Price as number 1.

Small sample size, but his save percentage is on par with a quality NHL starter. Encouraging?
That can change quickly.
His save vs Panarin was awesome. He is a quick and skilled goalie. But time will tell.

He tried to play well. Question why referees saw offside only after a goal..
-
Sorry for my emotions, but referees and Rangers players were like real bastards on this game. Too many dirty moves, hits, words, and injustice..

It was our win. Referees stole victory

Arizona has a few players to move by the deadline namely Kessel.
Montreal might get Price backOttawa is hit or miss
Buffalo will get Tuch back and shortly after the TDL I imagine Krebs, Peterka, Samuelson and Quinn will make a 5-9 game cameo appearance.
Plus Power, Johnson along with the possibility of Portillo and/or Levi will be signed and get some games.
I do not see them finishing 32nd for these reasons.
Ok. But with our goalies, we will win not more than 3 from 10...

In the time it took Zergas to position the puck properly on his stick, why didn’t anybody check him? Were they just watching?
Question to defense coaches. In my opinion, we play too softly. Players don't know how and when to hit, perhaps don't ready physically and mentally. And maybe that's why we have so many injuries...
-
Opponents hit our players with anger while we play softly like kids. Just look at our players when the Ducks make the first goal. Milano and Zergas did all what they want. We must defend gates, goalie, players! It's hockey!

A good goalkeeper is worth half a team. Better to pay 6-9 million a year to a good goalkeeper than to full-blown defenders.

Not true unless you're referring to ownership. Rebuild is the word used by new GMs with the incompetence on the previous GMs. So fans look for commonalities and see continuity, but for the management, this is only the beginning.
For Vegas it's wasn't the beginning?
Will there be a new record and 10+ defeats in a row?

Constant pruning in defense and one-on-one exits with goalkeepers, to be honest, pretty tired.
We miss and lose due to constant errors and sleepy defense. Why do other teams cope with this, and we constantly let the opponent play as he wants ... Maybe we should take everyone to church?
