You guys should take deJean and get your WR later he's too good to pass up
If I was a betting man I think he is the pick. He fits McDermotts checklist and since Beane follows the draft rules to the "t", DeJean checks the boxes there as well. It certainly is a need as well although I think he plays the FS position in the NFL. Hopefully Beane can than move up, but it would be travesty to field a mediocre WR corps with Allen in the height of his prime.

No doubt Reid can scheme like nobody else, but KC’s track record with drafted WRs is a mixed bag at best. The only elite attribute Worthy possesses is speed and that certainly has to be respected, but he is not quick off the line of scrimmage, isn’t a good route runner, doesn’t have great hands, and his frame certainly leaves a lot to be desired and he’s gonna have issues with getting off press coverage as a result. He’s got boom or bust written all over him.
And KC was gonna draft him at 32, anyway. Glad we got a third round pick to possibly use as a chip to acquire another pick in the 2nd tonight.
Hardman, Hollywood Brown, Worthy... good luck defenses. That is some elite speed, not to mention the other layers of Reids offense with Kelsey and a good backfield. I highly doubt he will have a down year on offense like last year with this group. Worthy doesn't have to be Tyreek, just has to be better than Toney.

KC values exceptionally talented players that Reid expertly can scheme to create mismatches. The Bills crave blue chip culture guys that are hard workers. Thus KC has 3 rings and we have yet to sniff a championship. The NFL has razor thin margins and Reid is an expert at finding one play to win a game in a playoff scenario. We can try and make ourselves feel better that Worthy is not Tyreek but he doesnt have to be. Just decent enough top speed that he can move all over the field, not just deep routes.

Beane really risking it all here. If Worthy turns into a superstar and we still can't beat them, it may spell his end. He has to hope Worthy is a bust and his extra picks pan out. For me, out of sheer principle I would never trade with your arch rival you can't beat. Already reports of some AFC GM's pissed as hell at him for doing that.

Toronto looks much more like a legit playoff team.

An older and a bit toned down Lindy… but at least he’s a legit NHL level coach.

I always liked Lindy, but my goodness...

Bruins are toying with the Leafs.

First Mitts statement about the lack of intensity at practices, now this. DG and the gang were not NHL coaches. If you applied this statement across the roster I wonder what would happen. We might actually have some really good players.

Gallant. Look what he did with Vegas and Florida. We are basically in the same position both of those teams were before he arrived. He will shape them into a team immediately and last about 3 years.

I never thought even for a second he was a legitimate possibility.

DG is great junior level developmental coach. That’s his forte. It was clear he was over his head and could not establish consistency with the group. I would love a veteran coach, no nonsense guy like Gallant. I have no hope for that though I’m a realist.

Another bonehead play costs us yet again.

Power will be fine. It takes many years to become a good defenseman and learn the game.

Just got home from the game.
Thoughts-
The Stars were the better team and after the first period it wasn't even close. Once the Stars got the lead they made sure they played defense. It wasn't even tough defense, they just got into position and waited for the Sabres to cough up the puck.
In contested pucks, the Sabres didn't seem interested in contesting them.
The power play was an embarrassment.
In other games there was always that hope the Sabres would tie it up and take it to overtime. Not tonight, and it was obvious.
le sigh
Yup. A basement level team vs the 2nd best team and it’s not hard to predict the outcome.

We are so dysfunctional that we can’t even be like normal teams and can these coaches and GM. No accountability.

The worst franchise of the modern era: Your Buffalo Sabres. 13 years.

They need to leave this staff in Dallas when they fly home. There is no way they should be back for another game.

Talent? Over half this roster needs to be replaced.

That power play was a perfect representation of this franchise.

Bad goal to give up.

Solid depth pick ups with a few new starters and lots of youth. Not sure how it pans out but it’s basically a new version of the Bills with many vets gone and young guys filling the ranks.
