Everybody complaining about the d line is missing the point here. You're not going to get a good qb on the ground, and you saw that yesterday. Relying on a pass rush is bad strategy.
You need to score points. Mcdermott comes out and his first comment is that he wished they had more success on the ground. Buddy, if you run it, you don't have the time to come back like you did, to give yourself a chance to mismanage the clock and blow the ending of the game for your superhero qb, who constantly covers up your dinosaur brained missteps.

The sad part is I think that they actually played well. They just aren't good enough. Inaction in free agency, inaction at the deadline every year... it's all there.

My fear is that the rest of the division is so bad that we're good enough to win it by default, and management will use that to say that the plan is working, and change nothing.

Just not enough talent on this team. Shouldn't be surprising though. I understood moving on from Skinner, but seeing what he was replaced with has me second guessing it. I don't know what Lindy could possibly do to squeeze 92+ points out of this group.

I think it's bigger than that. I realize that right now they're missing both starting linebackers and the best nickel cb in the league, but I have a problem with the way the defense is built. They've spent a lot of resources on the pass rush. That will make you look like a juggernaut against bad QBs, but the better QBs in the league will neutralize that quickly.
