  1.   Larsson finished 2014-15 on a tear, but was invisible until the second half of 15-16.

I'm hoping that it's all the right things coming together...... vet leadership, young guys bringing enthusiasm, trusting your brothers in arms....... next season the process will be further along.....

I do know that this year I'm sad to see the Sabres season end, and last year it couldn't end fast enough...............

  2. If you can find Smiths hotdogs, I like them better than zweigls, or Sahlens. Being born and raised in NW Pa, they were a staple of picnics and get togethers while growing up..... chronologically.

Speaking of hotdogs, a friend offered up some samples from a Newfoundland moose he'd shot last fall..........

Moosedogs with diced jalapeno and cheese in a natural casing..... excellent.

Next up is a sirloin tip roast.

  3.

A lot of Kane's shots are medium range shots, charging into the Ozone with nobody (or 1 defender) between him and the goalie, and are easy saves...... I wouldn't mind seeing some of those opportunities taken to the net.

I only watched 2 periods...... but for the 1st time it looked to me as though Eichel had some "don't give a ____" moments. Once he got caught on a long shift..... but it's the 1st time I've noticed a lack of 100% from Jack.....

  4. Good story.... (not a great one)..... I've got a 7 month old black and tan coonhound pup that is being trained to run fox and coyotes. He's pretty good in snow, but uses his eyes a little too much right now. We went out for a walk yesterday afternoon trying to find a fox track for him to have some fun on, and we never did find a track fresh enough for him to get interested in, but in the meantime..... after about 2 hours of hiking in 2 different squares..... I came upon a can of Blue Light..... Laying alongside of a snowmobile trail (imagine that)..... unopened......but not for long..... man did that thing taste good! Contrary to earlier beliefs, there just might be a place in life for a can of light beer....

  5. I've always enjoyed watching Ennis, and think this year is an injury anomaly. Highly skilled with good IQ, and for a little guy shows grit from time to time..... On a team starving for offense last year, he led the team in goals putting up 13% of the total.....also led the team in assists...... I hope he remains part of the rebuild.

  6. I thought Eichel and Reinhart displayed skills above and beyond the others....... particularly passing skills and vision on the ice..... Eichel had one through the skates move up the left side that was very slick. The 1st goal set the tone, and was great to see. Baptiste, Bailey, and Rodrigues were solid. Catenacci has some wheels and persistence...... didn't like Chapman as much as others....... I thought Makarov played well, and worked hard..... Asmundson didn't look as good, but he had one outright close-range robbery.....

During the 1st intermission, while people watching over the rail on the 2nd level Mike Weber walked by being towed around by a little one........ There was a small  group of players watching from the 200's......
