Risto! Clearing out the front of the net with authority.
-
Yotes need another 2 and I'll start to become a little more comfortable. Could be big 4 point swing tonight.
Who's this cursed moron??

It won't hurt Zadorov, but I think he already knows. That's what happens when you're raised by wolves on the tundra.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but he was raised middle upper-class in Moscow.
-
Some positives to come out of a victory. That's the best we can ask for.
-
One of best offensive possessions I've seen from Risto.

Whoops. Le Homme Nikita.

I hope Weber and Stewart survive the trade deadline.
Even if Stewart is moved, I can see him being a FA target for next year. Kane-McDavid-Stewart top line?
Nakita now one goal and six assists in last 7.

I know we're only a period into his career here, but I'm willing to declare that Bogo is already a far better D man than Myers has ever been up to this point.
GO SABRES!!!
Bogosian = 10x better than Myers
Can we at least wait a full game to evaluate Bogo? Dear God, it's been a period. Can you imagine what Jets fans are saying about Tyler after his 2 assist, offensively dominant performance?
The more I see the way TM is putting his team together the more I think Stewart is in the plan
Agree, he is definitely a TM player. Top draft pick too. Post trade, our roster is packed with even more early first rounders.

Myers with a very strong game but Jets fans got a decent dose of his indecisiveness on a crucial 4 on 3 in OT.
Both him an Staff were noticeable on the ice, and I'm sure a welcome sight to Jets fans.

The Cliff's Notes version: he's a Sabres fan living in Florida, and out of frustration with the current Sabres has decided to spend more time supporting the Panthers the remaining season (thus the avatar change).
Thank you!

Clear. At least I think so. I think you're going a bit overboard with top 3 only in the sense that there could be 3 players better than him on the team and yet he's still on the top line. He can still be someone else's top 3 forward and not be top 3 on the Sabres. I'd like to have that problem. Frankly, the top 3/6 argument is completely irrelevant. What we want the guy to do is show up and score 30-40 goals. I don't care if he does it from the 4th line.
A guy with over 5000 posts. So, you know, perhaps take that into account that he didn't just show up yesterday. As opposed to you who had 26 at the time I posted this.
ugh.. why stoop so low? it's out of hand..
Yea I get that. I asked why and nobody has given me a legitimate answer. Is he a Panthers fan who has seriously posted over 5000 times in a Sabres forum? That's a little odd. And not only is he posting, he's pissing on our potentially franchise changing parade. I get it, I just started posting. And if you approach this board like some high school/frat boy hierarchy, I guess I understand where you would give a new poster a hard time. But dear God, check your priorities and allegiances if you're constantly sticking up for a FLORIDA PANTHERS fan.

Is your avatar Tobias Funke?
Expand beyond Arrested! This is David Cross, just as one of his many much funnier Mr. Show characters.

Occupy Wall Street.
Heroin.
Cool! Big fan guys.
Been reading on here for a while. Became more engaged this year in search of some support for what was going to be a painful yet fruitful season. Thanks for the commiseration!

Sorry, I know I just started posting. But why is there a Panther logo with a dude from Boca Raton dominating this possibly historic trade board?
-
5-0 who are you a fan of??
-
Next year's lineup:
Ennis-Girgs-?
Kane-McDavid-?
Gionta-Reinhart-Moulson
2 years away?????

Decent showcase tonight in front of some scouts. Also, Talbot looks awful in Toronto.
Stronger hand after tonight.
-
No, the Oilers and Sabres.
The Oilers actually look impressive. Nail starting to trust his instincts a bit more. The tank should be fine.
-
It's the worst being emotionally invested in two awful teams

Huge 3rd period coming up on the island! On all fronts!!
-
Tie would be worst case scenario here.

Nikky points in the last 5. Like that slap pass as well. Plenty to learn on the D end i.e. coasting etc., but the kid looks like our top prospect.

Good eyes fellas...
So as I stated in another post, my late round guys are Greenway, Boeser and Bittner right now. For defense I said Zboril but if you like a bit more of a stay at home and eat babies type of kid, Brandon Carlo... 6'5" 17yr old who is only at 185lbs (some list him at 205)... he's gonna get bigger.
http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=120965
"Brandon Carlo is an industrious, shift-by-shift defenceman who lets the game come to him rather than chasing the play; he is able to quickly adapt to the pace of the game on the fly. Through maneuvering his way around the ice and making high-percentage, skilled decisions in all three zones, he is able to shut opposition offense down before it begins to take shape. Carlo is a smooth skater who can control the puck very well and get into open areas for scoring chances; that being said, he does and will need help finding offense due to his natural defensive style of play. All-in-all, a towering, defensive d-man that has very few holes in his game and is physically ready to make the next step."
Going off Liger's comments for who I like in the late first right now:
Paul Bittner, 6'4" 202 lbs, LW for the Portland Winterhawks
He's a big kid learning how to be a man still. He plays hard and is a leader on the ice with how he plays. I'm looking forward to seeing how he plays against bigger, stronger players. Powers his way along the offensive zone and to the net, but he needs to be using his skill on a more consistent basis. He's been on fire as of late which has him nearing a PPG pace.
Jansen Harkins, 6'1" 180 lbs, C for the Prince George Cougars
You could pretty much read what I said about Bittner for Harkins, but he's not quite as big. On the other end of that, though, he has more skill than Bittner. He has kind of burst onto the scene this year doubling his production level. He's been under-the-radar here, but there's a good chance we don't get a crack at him without trading up. Plays all three zones very well. He's got that hard-to-play against style that everybody wants. Might be a pure upside pick since he only has one good year under his belt now.

Praying your hope isn't naive. I understand we'll be trading off a couple more players. I understand we have a favorable schedule coming up in March. I understand analytics are on our side. But this is Buffalo. And this may just be a new form of heart break we have yet to experience.
