What's with all the doom and gloom? We still have the trade deadline to exponentiaite the suck. Getting rid of neuvirth alone would send us crashing again. I for one am enjoying these past few games of this craptastic season and believe we'll finish last and take the second pick (because let's face it we could have an 80% chance and still lose the lottery).
This is giving me hope for next year though we have some depth in the system, even if they aren't quite 100% ready.

Ennis has looked good this game. The goal earlier, the Carruba Collision and now the puck retention in the offensive zone. Turning on a dime again and again leading to chances...

It's times like this that I'm glad that someone thought to make a video sharing website where anyone could post a video and share it with the world. That video is amazing.

You must give yourself over completely to the way of the carrion. Bask in the putrid stench. Only then can you truly celebrate the joyful, wild ride that is the race for the shart.
My dog does this frequently. Judging by how happy he is when he comes in smelling like God-only-knows-what that he rolled in then we would do good to embrace the foul smelling stench that is coming from this teams play.
Watching the Juniors tournament over holiday changed my mind, the Draft class coming is stacked with solid players (and some of our younguns coming up through the system should pan out). We would do good to get one or more on the team and NHL ready.
Go CHL sabres!

Just checking in from the USA game, hopefully this game is as exciting and leaves me as excited about the future of the team.

The vision that Reinhart has shown this entire tournament and in the closing of this game makes me hopeful for his future with us.
All of our prospects had excellent showings, when (I don't see it as an if anymore) they are ready they'll have an lasting positive impression on this team.

It is sad when a elderly lady with pom pom finger gloves is showing more enthusiasm than you. Get off your damn phone and enjoy those seats I wish I had.
But USA vs CAN and then Sabres playing this is a good day for hockey!

I Don't know what changed, I wanna say it was RJ calling a period because that was awesome but even before that, the sabres lately have been entertaining to watch and not just because of scoring or win last game.
passing has been crisp, physical play...physical and smart, and neuvirth has looked decent.
On another note, Zadorov - keep or send down?

It's a game like this where your captains, or Girgs, need to come out and do something. Weber may get some talk for being a bottom 2 d-man, but he sticks up for his guys, and I don't mind him playing on the bottom pairing at all.
As long as the Lucic-Miller situation never happens again I'll be happy with that penalty all day
