I told her to aim for better clientele, apparently she listened.

    Greenway is useless.

I really thought the Greenway Mitts Benson line would do good things too. Seemed like a good combination of size and skill.

There is absolutely zero chance Skinner could play for Torts. Torts would talk about "needing to make subtractions" very quickly if he was here. There are quite a few players on this roster that Torts would "go off on". Power is young enough and perhaps malleable enough that Torts could save him. Tage would irritate him I think. He, like me, would want him to throw a check now and again. Use that big body for more than snap shot wristers from a distance. Tage might be good enough to still play for Torts, but it would be a constant irritant for him. But Skinner, lol, that'd be worse than it was with Kreuger.

Your post got me thinking how different players would react to Torts.

Skinner would mouth off and get scratched.

TT would go through a big adjustment resulting in a temporary loss in production.

Dahlin would only hear “good job.”

Power would have a nervous breakdown.

Greenway and Tuch would feel the same as Skinner but be less vocal about it.

I thought the “it’s not the coach” narrative was put to bed when we kept watching the Sabres outplay top teams when they felt like it, and then the next game went back to sleepwalking. We have an above average team, and they have the ability to be a playoff team, they just need to be motivated to play solid hockey every night for 60 minutes.  I can count on one hand the number of times we’ve seen that this season.

Could you imagine if we had someone like Torts, Ted Nolan, or Lindy Ruff here running practices?  I bet the Sabres wouldn’t have such poor starts and inconsistent efforts.

I just want to see Torts go off on Power.

They literally did, after baby was born and mom and baby were okay. There's nothing shady there, don't ruin a post that's solid by grasping at straws. For all you know Thompson asked them not to say anything until after. You + joeschmoe need to move on from Tage's kid and stop using that as some dumb ax to grind with the org. That's what's shady and crappy.

Btw, I agree with most of your post.

Maybe TT asked the organization to keep it a secret and maybe the organization just sucks. If it was his choice then fine but I’m inclined not to trust what the organization says or does.

I f'n hate this hockey team. I really do. WTF is wrong with them? Every year, every time, the names change sometimes but it ends up the same. They came out to play hockey and the Sabres? idk, I guess they wanted to go for a figure skate. Bunch of soft pussies. This was Ottawa. Ottawa! They're not even any good. Their 4th line dominated us. Their 4th line!!!! WTF is wrong with this team.

You know, tons of you won't like this, but for all his talent, sometimes Dahlin is a piece of sh&t defenseman. Fourth Ottawa goal he's standing in front of Levi, doing absolutely nothing but watching, doesn't take the man in front who has all day to make a textbook tip and all Dahlin is doing is watching and screening Levi. Then, and this is the part that really got to me. Then, after the goal is scored, HE shakes his head like it's someone else's fault or the universe conspired against him. No dude, you just didn't earn your pay cause you didn't do anything.

Ya, I'm drinking tonight. Sue me. idc and I hate this team. Bunch of sh&t waiting for the next flush.

The coach publicly stated he will not bench players because he doesn’t want to punish them.

Matt Ellis was a garbage NHL player. Might just be why our PP resembles his playing days.

When Skinner scores he’s an asset. Other than that he’s useless.

Tuch skates big wide circles. Aside from the infrequent goal and poke check, he brings little.

TT does more failed toe drags than shots on net. Still skates like sh!t.

Get ready for this. Power might actually just suck and be only third pair quality.

Muel is a third pair dman, maybe second.

Krebs is not an NHL player. Greenway is trying out for his next team. Mitts is a third liner. Talented but incapable of another level. KO/Girgs should call it a career after this season.

Levi is not ready to be a starter. UPL is at best a backup.

In total we have Cozens, Quinn, Peterka, Benson, Mitts, Dahlin,, Levi, and R Johnson. These guys possess talent and appear to consistently care. The rest either suck or show up only sometimes.

Here’s another little issue. Lafontaine and the NDA and the lack of information on TT’s disappearance. TT had a baby. It’s a good thing. You can say a guy is missing time for a baby. The organization’s leadership is shady.

Here's my ranking. It's almost like everything that could go wrong did. The only bright spots were Mittelstadt, Peterka, and Benson. Skinner gets a conditional pass as well, since his linemates appear to have packed it in.

    1. Thompson's a lot worse and seems disinterested

    2. Our 5 and 6 D are a lot worse

    3. KA didn't get a #1 goaltender, and kept Comrie and UPL on the roster

    4. Cozens is a lot worse

    5. Tuch is worse

    6. Samuelson is worse

    7. Dahlin's effort is suspect most nights

    8. Power hasn't improved at all, especially defensively

    9. Quinn has been hurt

    10. Krebs is likely not an NHL of any significance but still plays a lot

    11. Granato won't play Ryan Johnson despite him being at worst our #5 D.

    12. VO and our backlog of offense prospects failed to get moved for defensive help.

    13. We still give a roster spot to brain-dead ZG.

    14. Big guys like Greenway, Robinson, and Power play like 🐱

Disagree with number 7. The guy tries to put the team on his back when trailing late in the third, consistently.

He’s tied for the lead in goals scored by defenseman league wide.

Tonight I took my entire family to the Bruins game.  They seemed to come out ok, but the moment the Bruins went on the power play, they folded like a tent.  Once the first goal went in, the wind went out of their sails.  Poor passing led to turnovers and scoring chances.

I am frustrated to have to pay what I did to see a garbage product on the ice.  There’s no accountability and seemingly no answers from anyone.  I have been a Sabres fan for my entire life.  I don’t think I have ever felt as dejected as I do tonight.

Still a nice thing for the family. Spot on the product should be worth the money. Something I think the team could improve for their confide and competitiveness is the PP.

Start with that or anything really. Make a part of the game a focus to improve on and build some confidence with results.

The Buffalo Sabres aren’t going to move to Salt Lake City because mainly it’s in the Western Conference. But also there are larger television markets with more affluent markets with money like Houston and Atlanta. The problem with moving the Sabres out of Buffalo is that the NHL owners lose a market that they can get a huge expansion fee from. Also it ends Terry Pegula’s Buffalo Bills ownership most likely. Terry Pegula never overcomes that as a Buffalo Bills owner being the person that sends Buffalo’s major hockey franchise out of town. Trust me Terry Pegula isn’t doing that. Now could Terry Pegula find a place holder owner that buys the Buffalo Sabres keeps them in Buffalo for awhile so he can say it wasn’t me possibly. But Buffalo and New York State politicians will want Terry Pegula out of the Buffalo Bills ownership and I am sure New York State will lean on him to sell the Buffalo Bills to another owner like Washington politicians did to Washington Commanders owner Daniel Snyder. It’s not that simple for Terry Pegula to sell the Sabres down the River and keep the Bills also.

Like I said the only way Terry Pegula can possibly do it if he finds a placeholder ownership for the Buffalo Sabres like the Buffalo Braves owner Paul Snyder did with John Y. Brown. Buffalo fans still blamed Paul Snyder for moving the Buffalo Braves anyway when technically he didn’t move them John Y. Brown did. Also the difference is Paul Snyder didn’t own another Buffalo professional franchise at the same time so he could drop back into the Buffalo business world, not talk about the NBA Buffalo Braves until recently and Paul Snyder is in his 80’s. Terry Pegula isn’t going to be able to continue as Buffalo Bills owner he will have to sell all three Buffalo franchises the Buffalo Bills, Sabres and Buffalo Bandits if he plans on selling the Buffalo Sabres out of town. Just holding onto the money losing Rochester franchises because there aren’t enough fans in Rochester that care to even notice Terry Pegula as owner of the Rochester sports franchises in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
