I haven't seen Adam play since Amerks' home opener. I just figured he would be the next young guy to be called up in the event of a Hecht cut. Jochen is far from poor. He received his fair share of respect from the checkbook of Golisano, and Pegula at the hands of Regier in his career.

I'll give you the fact that Hecht has been responsible defensively this year. But I think I am just so fed up with watching him game after game get some pretty good opportunities to score and just can't put the biscuit in the basket. I'm looking for some kind of excitement to these games again, watching Hecht skate around and be himself is the worst. At least with Adam you have some sense of hope that because he is young, he will learn, grow, and get better.

Waiving him opens the door for a possible Luke Adam return. You can't tell me Luke Adam would be worse than Jochen Hecht right now. It would give us a measuring stick to see Adam in NHL games again and other teams' NHL scouts the chance to see Adam play in the NHL as well. I just think it's time to let the kids play this year.

I agree. Watching Kassian on a nightly basis is frustrating. The only time he's hustling is when he's in the offensive zone or about to put a check on someone. He doesn't come all the way back to help out defensively and coasts a lot. I think it would only be worse if he was on the Sabres with a bunch of coasters. Both team filled "needs" but I think Buffalo will benefit most.

He should have done the right thing and stepped down upon firing Lindy. Be a man, admit you're part of the problem. Actions speak louder than hollow words.
