And really if both teams go.........Who the hell really cares. With the loss of Industry and jobs, wage and benefit cuts for those left, that are fortunate enough to be working. Higher taxes for residents here, to cover for those residents who have gone, Schools closing, Hospitals closing. SERIOUSLY, Buffalo residents are worried about teams leaving, when it all boils down, who really cares. They both SUCK anyways, in two ways. They SUCK you dry for new updates to the stadiums and everything associated with that, Parking, Food and Beer sales. They SUCK you dry for tickets, sports gear, TV subscriptions. And they SUCK Period on the playing field and Ice. Come on people, buffalonians have bigger fish to fry, than to be worried about the sports teams leaving town. I do have an idea, though, play the same card as Corporate America, "Pay them for performance". I think if we adjusted the rates of admission, based on the quality of the performance. We could all go see the Bills and the Sabres for next to nothing if not free.

Its all about the money. If your filling the seats every game with a mediocre team on the ice, if your selling the gear, and sharing television revenues, why would you spend more money? That's like do you want to catch fish, with $2.00 worms or spend $10.00 on worms, to get the same results? Its a NO BRAINER, they are going to take the cheap way out, and cash in at the ticket office. We hear as fans about salary cap, and all that goes with it. My question is, are there different salary cap requirements for each team based on market size? or is it equal? why are there other teams, that have no problems studding the team with big name talent? IE: Pittsburgh? The current Buffalo Team wouldn't make a pimple on, Pittsburgh's ass. Pittsburgh had injuries side lining, Crosby, Malkin, and several others at the same time, and they were winning anyways. Are the Penguins under a different set of restrictions concerning salary cap requirements, than the Sabres are? What is the excuses the Sabres using for that? Two, (2), mind ya, BILLIONAIRE OWNERS, and look what we have to watch. If its not all about money, then what is? Mediocre is profitable, and until the place quits selling tickets, and there backs are up against the boards, to figure out how to sell the Sabres to its public, nothing will change.

The remedy is so simple, that I cant believe people don't get it !!!!!!! here it is in black and white: Quit buying anything Sabres related. Including tickets, gear, NHL Center Ice on TV, I mean anything that generates revenue for the team. It will do one of two things, Make them hear your cries, or drive them out of town. I have been a loyal fan since the 1969-70 expansion season . nobody is more of a fan than myself. But, I'm done, personally I can live without a team in Buffalo, if they want outta here, good go exploit another hockey thirsty market. If not, and they want to stay, good, then maybe they will hear the fans, when they play to an empty venue. They said at the press conference, that Darcy is the man, and that means we will have to suffer growing pains. I say, suffering for the last 15 years was already sacrifice and painful enough, I don't want to endure another 15 years, of disappointments. So, I'm done supporting the team in any way. I have, put my money, where there mouth is, year after year and what?????? a big fat Nadda. Now the team can puts its money where there mouth is, they seem more confident than the vast majority of the fan base in Buffalo anyways. I wish you well Thomas Vanek & Ryan Miller, I don't blame either of you for NOT wanting to stick around, and endure the same growing pains, as is expected of the fans, who will, if they purchase pay an additional 4%. What a crock of crap. If the fans could be traded away for another NHL team, I'de be wanting to go with ya's. hey Terry, can I as a Fan, here in Buffalo, give you a list of 8 teams fan bases, I would not consider??????? Just wondering. You'd get nothing in return for me, but hey isn't that the norm, anyways here in Buffalo.

Nor does it mean they want to be coaches, But what I'm trying to say, is, I would want the best, as a coach behind the bench, and they were the best at what they did, just maybe they would make better contributions than James Patrick has. who knows???????

I dont know, and knowbody will know, who's gone who stays, until it happens. All this talk about, all these players, coaches, GM's, going or staying and nobody will know nothing untill the Fat Lady takes the stage. Its no secret, that Buffalo's defence is the laughing stock of the league, and yet we have heard nothing about the future of, or have made accountable in any fashion, for the lack of success, Defensive Coach, James Patrick. I was unimpressed with James Patrick as a player, and I am very unimpressed, with his results as a coach. I hope its possible, for the Big "R", thats taking place in Buffalo, that they can employ, as a defensive coach, the likes of a: Scott Stevens, Ken Daneyko, Raymond Bourke, Nicholas Lidstrom, Chris Chelios, etc. These people and a few others, whom i havnt mentioned, were the top of the food chain, in there playing years. Wouldnt it make sense, to have that caliber of talent, working behind the bench as a coach, for a team making great plans for the future? Please comment, thanks.

How does the New coach Ron Rolston, teach and coach speed and toughness on the puck??????? anybody? I am watching the first game under the new coach, and the sabres, are up to there old ways, being forced off the puck, just to stand back and watch Toronto, do what they want with it. There is no resistance from the sabres, just skating around, hoping for an errant pass. I know all the troubles wont dissappear in a 24 hour period,but holy cow, they looked horrible in the second period. Good bye Darcy, Good bye Darcy, Good bye Darcy, the fat lady's singing your tune.
