This 7-game home stand will probably make or break the season. We've been playing way better at home this season (for once). We're 14-6-3 instead versus: 11-13-3.
I feel like we need to come out with at least 10 points.
It starts tonight. Must win!
Totally agree. These 7 games will be it. Have to be at 10 to 14 points.

Is there anyone else in Rochester worth bringing up for the second half of the season?

Blatantly untrue.
Philly traded Richards because he had a long deal and they got into trouble after they dumped all the money on Bryzgalov. It was financial issues, not culture issues.
As for Kane, he was drafted as the glory boy but played his way down the roster as he turned into a problem child. Winnipeg is where they are due to good trades and good drafting like Kyle Connor for example.
If JBot is a bad GM for you, Murray must have been what, Satan? You want the definition of a bad GM that's your poster boy. Colin White would have looked pretty good in the blue and gold or better yet Brock Boeser or even Konecny. Trading away your roster for draft picks and then giving away those draft picks is the definition of a bad GM. Worst GM EVER.
Pretty cheap shot at Miroslav.

when do you want to win? This year was not supposed to be a rebuilding year. This year is supposed to be a playoff year
I want to win this year, but we just don't have the depth, and a couple rentals aren't going to change that.

We have 1.5 good lines. Maybe 3 to 4 solid defensemen. Botts isn’t buying at the trade deadline. This was supoosed to be a rebuilding year with signs of improvement, and that’s what it is. We’re not going to mortgage the future for a quick 4-2 first round playoff exit. We have what we have and that’s probably good for 10th.

NO LOOK DEFEnSIVE ZONE PASSES!
-
The Sabres are the only non playoff team that feel confident moving the puck with cute one handed touch passes, behind the back no looks and chip passes.
-
Ah the no look backhand pass nice!
-
Can a goalies skate touch the illegal touching area while handling the puck?
-
Keys to the game: more no-look drop back passes in the defensive zone.

4. Scandella was... terrific last year? Out of the 133 defensemen who played at least 1000 ES minutes last year, Scandella was 128th in GF/60.... and 112th in CF/60.....
Who hurt you?

NOW I see why people are calling you insufferable.

The only game we won recently and looked competent doing it was the lineup against NJD we won 5 -1 and Jack didn't even play.
What were the lines for that game.
When its not working with a single high scoring line you have to break it up and try different combinations. That and other teams double shift their best center across more than one line. That can create mismatches and more secondary scoring.
I agree with whoever I saw in another thread say Phil made a decent assistant coach but he does not appear to have what it takes to be head coach... It looks more and more like that with his use of this roster. Hell I an am starting to think Ted Nolan could do better head coaching then what we are seeing from Wowie.
I can't take double shifting Eichel. He already looks bored and tired in the final 10 seconds of his current shifts. I don't need 2x the emo lazy stick swinging defense.
-
They need to win the next two. Need to. No excuses. I don't care if you have to move Pommer back to the first line. Do whatever it takes.

How are there that many f$&?ing lightning fans in the building

The team’s gone from hopeless to frustrating. I don’t know what’s worse.

Carolina is playing a tight game. Reinhart needs to be moved up to the first line to help create space for Eichel and Skinner.
They are playing a tight game but we’re getting better chances. We just need to keep playing our game. Their luck has run out. I hope.

Why bother resurfacing the ice at this point?

Three cheesy goals tonight. Feel bad for Hutton and we need him to play perfect the rest of the way.
Dont like the the way we are playing. Very loose in our end.
We’re still allowing too much garbage in front of our net.
I would love to put Jeff skinner in tage’s body.
