But wasn't the 1st one on 3rd down?

Yes, I didn't see if he had a run lane, but presumably like the other 3rd downs no one was open. If that's the case and the play is shot, maybe you get a flag. The pick was almost certainly in a better spot than the punt would have landed, it was about the 3 yard line

But it's possible I'm wrong. I've seen Brady do that and I want allen to be as smart as Brady lol

Jets baited allen there. Showed the middle of the field, collapsed in on him when he took it. They did that to him at least twice last year

JFC.  Both of those picks on totally unnecessary forced deep throws into double coverage in the middle of the field!

I'm pretty convinced he wanted the first one to be a punt or PI, we will see. Second one is just brutal. Josh, you can be the best in the world if you wanted to

I do like the softening up approach with the underneath game. I'm still baffled as to why Dorsey doesn't spread the field more and open the middle stretch routes for a TE or 2, or the quick cut and go up the sideline routes. So far it's been all short, but I concur, it's working so far.

He might do this but the Jets are either dropping 7 or 8 every play so far. There might not be anything there. I have all-22 so i plan on diving in a little bit to see

  4. ESPN with a ridiculous segment which is what happens when their only storyline for the game was Aaron Rodgers

Aaron looked old AF even before the injury. We are abusing those tackles

Thought they were booing cuz they called a TO and then took a knee which is strange.

He was playing for the kickoff

That Milano penalty hurt this drive though. There is always something to clean up every season. This one is no different. I know the Jets D is tough, but I really cannot allow the Bills a crutch, they have a very talented offensive weapon stable, and a league top tier QB in his prime, I not only expect better overall performance, I demand it as a fan. It is what it is 😉

Yeah they can always execute better. My main point would be that I liked the play calling on balance that half. Still have another half to go, Wilson beat us when we were up 14-3 last year.

  6. Against a front like this, I would tell you that screens and draws that let the pass rush carry itself past the play is what you want to do. Use Cook and Harty etc, only take the shots when you see Diggs or Davis beat his guy. That's what they're doing. This team is locked in, just has to stay that way and keep playing.

  7. Jets defense is the most impressive unit I"ve seen in week 1 so far. The Bills just need to keep grinding. You can get your big plays and big numbers next week. Get out of this one with a win. Nobody is getting open, Dorsey has had some beautiful play designs to manufacture space so far.

Offense looks confusing. Is Dorsey still the OC? If so, I'd seriously consider firing his ass with these results.

I'm telling you man, a juiced up defense that has the 2nd highest pressure rate with the lowest blitz percentage AND the best secondary in the league, is not something you come out and light up. They didn't allow 250 yards passing in a single game last year. The Bills are doing a good job, need to clean up a few things and take advantage of no Rodgers

I have a couple neighbors that are giants fans.  Listening to them last week, they pretty much believed that Dabol was the Buffalo Bills over the last couple years.  I wonder what they think today.

The number of times I read that we should have ditched McD to keep daboll on two bills drive this summer.

I am usually not one for attempting to injure, but I hope opponents are gunning to take him out every chance they get.

Then again, what % of the NFL consists of upstanding individuals, I honestly don't know.

Also, I try not to put as much stock in week 1 as teams will look completely different, even in weeks 2 and 3

Oh yeah, I'm enjoying a lot of what I see, but there is a long way to go.

I'm not usually a "imagine if the situations were reversed guy" but it's interesting to see the leeway Burrow and Mahomes get for bad performances compared to Josh. I haven't seen Josh look as bad as Burrow does since at LEAST the Jags game 2 years ago, and maybe not since 2019 vs NE

Cinci is a weak September team I guess. They turn it up when they need to, late in the year, but this sort of thing can lead to a lot of road playoff games

So the steelers looking good eh?

SF looks like they want that super bowl

Great example of what looking great in the preseason actually means.

San Fran the only team firing on all cylinders through the first halves.

Deshaun Watson is completely shot. You just HATE to see it

    Eh.

That TD turned the tide, though.  I'm not saying I love the guy, but I am saying he has his ups and downs.

Watch it again lol, it was literally busted coverage. He went into motion then stopped. He then caught the easiest pass in the world with nobody within 10 yards of him. No skill involved, just benefitting from Reid and an eagles gaffe. He didn't have to beat anyone and didn't run a route that you can even give a name to.

It is not unreasonable in general to discuss a young player on a trajectory but Toney has not even shown a trace of being able to stay on the field, let alone talk of having any sort of development arc. He got hurt on the THIRD snap of training camp! And didn't get back on the field until game week, and it is clear he wasn't ready to go. You can't have a trajectory if you've never shown a trace of being a real receiver.

He also contributed heavily in the last SB.  I'm enjoying the Toney memes etc. as much as anyone, but I'm not going to evaluate him based just upon yesterday, just like I'm not going to evaluate him based just upon the SB.

He had a nice punt return, and one catch with busted coverage for a TD, and 3 catches in the 3 playoff games, and he averages about 2 catches for 17 yards in the 8 or 9 games he's played with the best QB on the planet
