Besides the possibility of giving Callahan 7 years 50 million this Summer, how about this:
Sign Jaromir Jagr to a 1 year 5-10 million deal depending on how much is needed to at least make the cap fllor. The reasons being the following....
Craig Patrick who is now in our front office drafted Jagr as GM of the Pens.
Jagr has 700 goals and would help sell tickets during the rebuild.
His off ice work ethic would be a great example for the kids on this team.
If he continues playing at a high level, he can be moved yet again at the deadline for assets.
He has 50 pts in 60 games this season.

I'd think we will see Stewart sent to Ottawa. Murray claims he doesn't want rentals so Moulson seems unlikely to be packaged in that deal. More likely LA or PITT for Moulson IMO.
Ottawa has also been linked to Stafford and Ehrhoff

My gut tells me Miller will be gone by Friday. I am leaning Caps for some reason and I think it will be something like 1st round pick and Andre Burakovsky
McPhee might give in to 1st, 2nd, roster player (cap dump likely), good prospect.

One of my co-workers also works for the Sabres....he was told at the game last night by another Sabres employee that there will be a Press Conference today. Supposedly Miller related. Quite a few people were talking about this...... Can anyone confirm this? Chz?

This should now be our new top priority before FEB 7th. Lafontaine mentioned they were excited about trying to get homegrown talents to play here. One just became available. He's a UFA to be who wants 6-7 years and 6 mil plus per. We need to spend around 25 mil just to hit the cap floor! We have every reason to trade for him and immediately give him the deal he wants. 7 years 50 mil. Make the Rangers an offer they can't refuse....

I don't have "sources" per se (like a GM or scout), but I do have people "in the know" whom I trust with information.
Whether that information turns into facts, I have no clue...I will wait and see like all the rest of us, but I trust this one.

Straw is a lame. Never actually blogs for Yahoo! I think he probably does some of the "contributor network" stuff which is basically what Bleacherreport is. A year or two ago he said he was hearing something major was happening at like three AM then didn't tweet for like an hour. Then tweeted an apology saying he was ordering MacDonalds which is what took him so long. Then said it was nothing.
