My point was that this is an extremely common thing (place names spelled differently in different languages. It’s not a Russia-Ukraine thing.
If we want to be really serious, then the word “Kiev” is certainly not Russian. Russian uses an entirely different alphabet. It’s the Russian alphabet spelling transcribed into the Latin alphabet, which is an in exact science anyway.
By all means, Latin alphabet users should spell it the way that Ukraine requests. But the spelling difference isn’t something that Russia created in order to diminish Ukraine. It’s a super common thing that happens with place names worldwide.
Bombay vs Mumbai. Peking vs Beijing. Mispronunciations of cities is common and changes over time. I had a Ukrainian neighbor who was from Kiev (that is how she said it) after WWII. It is an interesting topic for me.

Good game! They tore up the third period script. Yes they lost the lead but they roared back and got it back and won in regulation. The scrum after the horn was fun. I was hoping for a old school donnybrook.

Hagg lost the Stars player and it results in a goal. Awareness and having the offensive players accounted for is important in the defensive end. Hockey is a mental game.

Mittlestadt did the one thing that the Sabres have a habit of doing which is the blind pass. Most time it results in a turn over. His lack of awareness of what was transpiring on the ice is bad.

I am done. They can not pass, skate or stay on their feet. Too many times they are running into each other. I have seen better hockey played at the high school level. Fundamentals are missing with these men. Most errors are mental. Get on it coach!
