Is that proposal suggesting we completely decomission the highway as a traffic bearing roadway? Or just add pedestrian functionality and an asthetically pleasing (at least better than is right now) facade to an already existing highway?
If that thing ever goes through, it could become one of those iconic buildings you associate with their cities IMO

Cowherd's arrogant delivery, basically "telling" you the truth about sports is unappealing and condescending.
If they teamed up K Slice (love it) with Peters and had regular spots for Roby, Ray and RJ, I think the show would do well. Maybe that's in the fold already just waiting until the season starts. Hell, i'd throw Georges LaRaque in their as well. He's entertaining. Peters, Georges, Rayzer and John Scott can do a weekly roundtable about punching and getting punched.

Hittin up Blink 182 at blue cross this coming tuesday, other than that not much planned as of yet, I'm more of a spur of the moment concert guy myself unless its someone i've wanted to see for a while.
Definitely a rock n Roll enthusiast at heart but i picked up a mixing table for my laptop about a year ago and have really started getting into the electronic / house scene as well, so i wouldn't mind seeing some shows like that.

Back to back drafts that land Hodgson, Myers, Ennis, Adam, McNabb, and Foligno (the last three still being slightly longer shots). That's how you build a hockey team. Now if you can follow that up by having guys like Pysyk, Gauthier-Leduc, Sundher, and Armia pan out, things get that much better.

Todays trades stock assets for the future, as well as make a soft team softer. In my opinon, making the team softer is going to cause the team to tank, and we'll be awarded a top 5 overall pick. This is GOOD in my eyes, because it's not all that difficult to pick up physical role players in the summer months, the pick could turn into another great player, and we have plenty of grit waiting to join the big club (I'm looking at you, Foligno, McNabb, Tropp).
Things just got interesting.

When he speaks of the Sabs is he baffled by how their poor play defies logic?
We're analyzing argument structures right now, and he always says stuff like "The sabres will win their next game", this is probably not the case but when put into "x" form, it is a valid argument.
He's definitely a fan, and he definitely is aware of the teams current problems, but he has a good sense of humor about it. Definitely necessary.

Taking a logic class as an elective at UB, and the professor is actually really engaging. And the course material is surprisingly interesting. And he constantly references the sabres in his lectures.

I don't even want to ask because then I will get accused of starting this page or so of stupidity, but W(hy)TF are we discussing a trade for Kane (RW) when we have Pominville, Stafford, Kassian, Armia? Even if you dump stafford you still have Pominville, Kassian, Armia, Kaleta... so WTF!?! Focus people. The position we need is CENTER.
ps. Don't we have enough undersized, skilled, non physical wingers on this team already?
They converted him to center earlier in the year, he seems to do quite well in the middle.
That does however, do nothing to diminish how unlikely the acquisition of Kane would be.

For the first time in five and half years I find myself without a confident in whom I could entrust everything and fear nothing. All I will say is that my relation has imploded completely with no possible reconciliation. I started applying for jobs anywhere but NY. Other than the Sabres, this town holds nothing but memories veiled in the shadows of a broken heart. In the aftermath of one of the worst weeks of my life I find myself forced to go about my day as if nothing is wrong. Everything is wrong, everything is lost, everything that once was is now nothing more than a desolate void that will take me years if not decades to overcome.
Goog luck man... It gets better. Hearts break, but the beauty of the human body is it's ability to heal. That goes for the spirit as well. I caution you about leaving though. I left. I've spent the better part of a decade trying to get back.
Liger, listen to the man. You're young, and believe me, you'll get over it. Not tonight; not tomorrow. But you will. Don't be driven out of town by some chickie whom you won't care about (and you won't, just freaking trust me on that) in five years.
I'm going through a really rough breakup right now too, but I gotta hand it to eleven and Pommerfan. It definitely sucks right now. But it will get better, that i have no doubt. Chin up man, hang in there.

And it's not sad or dumb. Everyone needs an outlet for their emotions. Mine is a mixture of sports (Sabres and Bills) and Skeet shooting. I'm not very good at shooting skeet, but it's still a nice positive release.
Couldn't agree more, i got the sabres, running, and my guitar. Everyone has their outlets.

I have no source for this, but having that capacity gives you some options, Maybe we want an OHL team or something in the long run. Gives some colleges in the area a place to play home games, facility for team related activites.
Just because it can be used for Pee Wee practice doesnt mean thats the only reason you build it. Im not sure 2000 seats is really any cause for concern
