Blake Wheeler was not the same as these guys. He was a first round draft choice who never signed.
Gotcha! Did not realize that.

I never thought about the dominant hand on top aspect of it. I guess as a basketball player who was striving to be as ambidextrous as possible (Short of shooting jump shots left handed) that logic wouldn’t have occurred to me. But I was mainly just a street hockey player.
i always felt the naturalness of being right handed and shooting right due to the similarities of using the torso to generate torque and speed like one does in swinging a bat or a club. But again, I played a ton of organized baseball and no organized hockey.

T shirts to the first 15,000 fans on Fan Appreciation night next Thursday.
I wonder what they’ll do with the 7,000 left over?

Interesting signing yesterday of 30 year old RT La'el Collins, who has started a lot of NFL games. Spencer Brown looking for a large raise with his rookie deal expiring after 2024. Just me speculating but wonder if Brown could now be dealt. Can't pay everyone. Maybe get something for him now. (Draft pick)
Rousseau due a raise after 2024 and CB Douglas needs a new deal. Douglas is priority one, since they traded for him and he's very good at a key position. Rousseau and Brown, not so sure. Rousseau is playing for his future here if he's expecting a big raise. Needs to break out in 2024.
Collins is just a camp body. Has nothing to do with Brown. More like a hedge on Vandemark really being ready to be the swing tackle.

oh and for the "we aren't big enough crowd" or the "we aren't physical enough crowd", Novikov is 6'4" 198lbs and has a mean side.
To be fair, he has a nice side too.

Sometimes I wonder if signing Cozens and Thompson to those contracts will end badly. Then I glance at Pierre-Luc Dubois's contract with LA and feel like it's all good in Buffalo.

6'9" goalie named Cooper Black? That's a comic book character if I ever heard of one.
Never seen him play but I don't care...get 'er dun Adams.

I am not surprised about the fact that the Buffalo Sabres won tonight with Sabres owner Terry Pegula at the arena for Jeff Skinner’s 1,000 game. It tells me the Buffalo Sabres play when they feel like it and that needs to change if the Buffalo Sabres want to make the playoffs next season in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo

Just now, Pimlach said:they are 7 points ahead of us with 2 games in hand going into the game.
I hear ya but what’s sad is that makes them marginal.

Good stat padding game against a marginal opponent

I'm seeing the one and only Adam Ant tonight. The English Beat are opening. I'll have to catch up on the game after. No one tell me the score.

UPL tonight? Levi on the bench or playing meaningful games in Rochester?
How can they best screw him up some more?

Not to defend Pegula in general… and at some point I think the fans need to hear from him…
‘But if my wife suffered what Kim did and I was faced with the prospect of the person I expected to be there long after I’m gone (my wife is quite a bit younger too, although not as much of a gap as the Pegula’s) basically no longer there with little prospect to ever come back (based on what little we know about her brain injuries), I can tell you I’d have a hard time leaving the house I’d be so distraught.
As a billionaire sports team owner he probably has a higher standard to live up to compared to some internet schmuck like me, but I do believe this factor is a partial explanation for his silence on some things and lack of attendance at games.

On the right team he becomes a point per game annoying gnat of a player who everyone hates except that team’s fans who love him.
On the Sabres, he’ll be struggling, disgruntled 45 point guy.

His confidence and attitude will be completely derailed by this team at this same time next year.
Oh come on, that’s ridiculous.
It’ll take 2 years.

If your $11 million dollar player is on the ice “too much” maybe he’s the wrong player.
Colorado giving Makar 0:42 less per game
Nashville giving Josi 0:59 less per game
Dallas giving Heiskanen 1:06 less per game
The only two guys with slightly more TOI per game are Doughty and Carlson, two grizzled, HOF caliber vets. And Dahlin's 'counting stats' are right there (and slightly better) than both of them.

Of course I truly hope Bryson is OK.
On the other hand less Bryson is good for now.
