Wow, what an amazing guy Lindy is. That press conference was truly remarkable in terms of his poise and class. It needed to be done, but his firing will be our loss far more than his-- it is hard to find quality people like that.

I used to be impressed when a puck would go into the crowd and Darling would say something like "a young fan from Port Huron just got himself a souvenir." I always thought-- why couldn't I be that lucky kid? I must have been 20 years later when I finally figured out he was just making that stuff up. Great announcer.

I was. I remember we were cheering for the Penguins to make the playoffs, which I think happened when Meehan scored. I remember when I was in college in Worcester, MA in the mid to late 70s when the Sabres were playing the Islanders in a playoff series driving down to the Connecticut shore to hear the game on radio to hear the islander broadcast across the Sound. Crazy stuff...

I admit I am math challenged, but the team has played 16 games, so they have 32 to play. 19 + 9 +2 = 30. That's 46 I think. So 20-10-2 (or something equivalent like 19-9-4) would get them to 48, and 55 points. But again I could be wrong on all that...

Good topic. I prefer a maduro wrapper myself. LaFlor Dominicano and La Gloria Cubano are nice and Padron reserve or anniversary are really nice but a bit pricey. Smoke too many, but I started because it helps my concentration. Especially like a cigar with a Racing Form and cold beer.
