Is this game on ESPN plus?
-
What would it cost us to move up to pick #9 and draft Rome Odunze?
-
We may have hit a new low.

It’s a sound move. Hes not worth more

If he can return to his playoff form, we will have a Stanley Cup winning Top Pairing Defenseman to play with Dahlin for years to come.
Otherwise we just dumped our finally solid Mitts for the defensive version of Tim Connelly.
To me this trade tells me either or both of Jokiharju and Muel are going to be moved out.
I think Muel gets traded to Calgary as part of package for Tkachuk

Horrible power play

I'm very confident that my position of no on a Power for Tkachuk trade is the right position to take. For me, it is not only the right call but also an easy call. Adding an inconvertible knucklehead to the room at the expense of a talented young defenseman with a lot more upside is a mistake that will become more evident as time passes on. You have been in the work world for a long time, as I have. A jerk is a jerk who disrupts the balance of the group. You don't have to be a bad person to be a toxic person that has a contaminating effect on those who work in the same vicinity.
With respect to Power there is a misconception about him as a player just because he is not a banger, and neither is Samuelsson. He's big and strong and can skate. He's going to get better and become an anchor defenseman for us for a long time. He's not as flashy and stylistic as Dahlin. They are simply two different types of players. But there is no doubt in mind that he is going to be an instrumental player for us for a long time. Also, if you add in the fact that he is a good kid, this becomes an easy call for me.
Power is a very young Victor Hedman

Even so, it means if UPL falls off we are literally without a goalie for the present and future.
You’re acting like Levi is a sure thing. There is no evidence that he will ever be better than UPL. He may, but if that what it takes to acquire a tough superstar, it’s worth it.

I wouldn’t offer Levi regardless
Goalie is among their biggest needs. You have to give up quality to get quality. UPL has been outstanding.

I would offer Savoie, Rosen, Samuelson and Levi. Idk if that gets it done.

Okposo and Greenway on the pp
-
Shutout for Comrie. I’m calling it now.

Okposo stil on top line 🤮
-
Never heard of these announcers
-
They don’t want Smurfs and draft picks . They already have small wingers.
-
What would it cost to acquire Jiricek RD. It’s possible he could get moved. Columbus has turned into a shitshow.
-
Offer them Comrie and VO
-
It’s MLK weekend and possibly a Bills playoff game. Sabres are scheduled in the afternoon Sat and Mon. Might times get changed so as not to conflict with Bills?
-
Savoie will be in Rochester next year.

Terrible play by UPL.

Just hire an experienced retread GM that’ll walk in day one and say “the goal is to make the playoffs and we will do what we need to to make it, starting with me.”
I guarantee you it would be better. The most poisonous thing for this franchise right now is taking about Cups. About developing a long term winner. Just focus on the now.
I hear Tim Murray is available

I really have a hard time imagining how anyone is left who doesn't want him fired ? He clearly is limited.
Who are you replacing him with?

Does Pegula Have Any Pride?

Pegula has a lot of pride and wants to win as much as we all do. The problem is he doesn’t know how to go about it. He has hired a variety of people in management and coaching that haven’t worked out. Currently he has hired Adams as GM. If you think he is incompetent, I disagree with you. I think Adams has done a better job than Granato and I think a coaching change is in order.
