Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band at the Tralf, June 26th.
yup
June 29 Buffalo Place- Grace Potter and the Nocturnals This band puts on a great show. They have a fantastic old school rock vibe to them. And Grace Potter is darned nice to look at too. If you are not familiar, look them up on youtube. Fantastic rock performers.
yup
after that, every Thursday [not] in the Square possible, and we'll see what pops up.

Sweet, I'm a fan of ryes. I'm a bit of a wimp with straight liqour, but Canadiens/ryes are very smooth even to me.
I hope this works out. I love local companies, and these guys are about 5 minutes north of my place, so I'll probably mosey on up there once they get their liscense and can have some tastings. Buffalo loves to party, and loves to have some home town dog to root for. If this stuff is any good I expect we'll see it in local before long ala Flying Bison Beer.
Also, their name is pretty good http://eightbuffalospirits.com/?p=86

We’re proud of our Buffalo roots, and want our hometown to be stamped on every bottle, inventory sheet, drink list and advertisement in any market our products make their way into. In brainstorming how best to achieve this, partner Jon Mirro remembered something both amazing and obnoxious: “Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo.“ is a grammatically correct sentence.
Discovered by a University at Buffalo professor in 1972, it is the longest sentence in the English language using a single repeated word. It means ”Buffalo-origin bison that other Buffalo bison intimidate, themselves bully Buffalo bison.” Sounded pretty awesome to us, and thus EIGHT BUFFALO SPIRITS LLC was born.

On A Clash of Kings in the Ice and Fire series. I also have The Count of Monte Cristo going at the moment, a classic i never read in school.
-
Just saw that the guy who plays/played Dale was from Buffalo; kinda cool. He also had bit parts in The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile.
-
They've confirmed a third season. For those that have read the graphic novels, The Govenor shows up next season.

I'm half wondering if thats what the doc told Rick at the end of season one. That anyone who dies becomes a walker, no matter what.
-
Rick lost the both the devil and the angel on his shoulder over the last two weeks. Interesting to see where he'll go from here.
-
wow. well, ######. didn't see that happening. This is getting better by the second.
-
Doing some geeky reading at the moment. Just finished Game of Thrones with the second book in cue. Currently reading A Hitchhikers Guide, also have Ender's Shadow up next.
-
Look up Jackdaw. They opened for the Murphies a couple years ago at TITS, they're irish punk, but i seem to remember much more punk than celtic to them.
-
Flogging Molly(and other assorted celtic/punk/irish/rockness) is an option here too. Only thing is its starting to get over used and become just another arena rock style. Too bad.

Blyech. I still don't like that song.
I guess years and years of college hockey games have pretty much ruined "pump up" songs for me. It's always nickelback or Metallica or Rise Against. I guess I just don't see the heart in a bunch of bro rock, dated metal, or Robbie Takac.
I don't know, there were some times last year this team could have used some emergency Van Halen.

If it's not Sabre Dance, then we're all idiots.
Are we talking broadcast intro song or skate onto the ice intro song? Broadcast it has to be Sabre Dance, but otherwise I like mixing it up every year. How great did "Better Days" fit in '05-'06? They seem to set a tone for the season.
Concerts you plan to attend this year
in The Aud Club
