In a league where 50% of the teams make the playoffs each years, you really have to appreciate just how horrible a franchise has to be to not make those odds for 9 years running.
I came here to make this point, so thank you for beating me to it ?
When we start calculating what it would take to make the playoffs in terms of win streaks and point totals that equate to the best team in the league, the playoffs are officially toast. We haven't even approached escaping the bottom 1/3rd of the league in a decade, let alone top 16. That's with having a top 10 player in the league this year and multiple top 5 draft picks. It's an especially impressive level of incompetence.

My heart, it's broken ??
My first time back on board in months and i'm already breaking hearts.

Until they make a trade for a #2 center and finally have enough (good) forwards to make logical line combinations, I don't have much faith that this team has any chance of making a meaningful playoff run.
Even with Jack playing out of his mind.

I'll still continue to be part of the generation that says "Kobe!" before shooting anything at a hoop/basket/garbage can.

Wife and I caught The Hate U Give on HBO last night as we always try to check the movies that are leaving at the end of the month to make sure we don't miss a good one. It was really excellent story about the challenges of living in a poor black neighborhood and how drugs, fear, and wealth privilege all play a huge part in the opportunities available to kids in that area. The central conflict was focused on police brutality, but there were more story arcs to follow as you got into it. I'd recommend it if you still haven't cancelled HBO from the GOT days...

I think I've been around this forum long enough that if someone was hoping that, they'd just come out and say it ?
...now that you mention it. ?

Six underground was good. I enjoyed the deadpool like humour from Reynolds.
I just watched six underground today. It was a fun mindless action movie. It felt a little Deadpool-y to me as well

Having played the games and read the books, I loved it. For someone watching it without having read/played the other media I am not sure how well it will translate
Agreed. I'm almost done with it now and it has been good but I will agree that the show almost expects that its viewers have played the games or are familiar with the stories. If this was your first experience with the Witcher universe I could see it being a bit confusing who Geralt/Yennifer/Ciri are and why they have magical powers.

*****in right! Finally hit the long ball.
If the Patriots are going to play zero coverage we need to be able to hit those throws over the top

That's assuming the challenge would have failed and the rest of the game played out identically.
I'm more just glad that our coach realizes that timeouts are valuable. We've had far too many coaches that uses them like condoms on prom night

That final 2 minutes or so was the best game management of McDermott's career. Even if we hadn't scored, he maximized our chances. And kudos for being aggressive regardless.
My wife rightly pointed out that if McD had challenged that 4th down spot earlier we would have ran out of time at the 1 yd line with no points

This defense continues to reward McD's confidence in them. Gives me heart palpitations but so far it's working
So far...

Aaaaand fumble.
If they become too afraid to play Singletary then our offense goes from average to bottom 5. We need to play him and deal with any rookie mistakes

There is so much more going on here. The field position, the personnel. I don't think I'll ever like McDermott and Daboll as a HC & OC combo. They can't even overcome themselves.
This is better articulating what I was getting at.
Jumbo package with Gore for all three downs with 10+ yds to go. You're not setting us up for success. Singletary fumbled once on a great play by Watt, don't need to take him out.

Three runs on goal to go? JFC
You. Play. To. Win. The. Game.
That was way too conservative

I know McDermott hates turnovers, but running Gore outside instead of Singletary is lunacy.
Agreed. Singletary has the speed to get to the corner and that's a walk in TD

How's it going @Samson's Flow?
Been incredibly busy and haven't gotten a chance to hang out with you fine folk.
I have an uncomfortable amount of optimism with regards to this year's Bills that is sure to leave me disappointed in new and spectacular ways

Season is Over: 9 Year Playoff Drought
in The Aud Club
Posted
I'll respectfully disagree. We started the season with Sobokta on the second line and no clear role/direction for the bottom 9 forwards. That's a team construction/GM problem.
We started the year with *squints* 5? good forwards and one of them was a rookie that played a half season and they were relying on him for 1st line minutes. Surprises line Oloffson and Ullmark should take a team from good to great not from terrible to watchable.
