  1. It doesn’t look like Winnipeg is 2-3 points out of a playoff position.
  2. you want one of the greatest goalies of all time? Very reasonable. Lol
  3. This is just my opinion, but I wouldn’t think so. The amount of room between the NFL sidelines and seats are pretty damn big. If you use that to make a wider field you would just cut into that dead space.
  4. You can only afford a couple really high price contracts. look what happened to Toronto with their three high priced forwards. Honestly, in a few years what are we gonna do with Power and Dahlin if they reach their potential?
  5. This is probably a good point. I did not consider either one of them a superstar. I considered them poor man’s stars/top players. Nothing close to superstar.
  6. I always referred to the two as a poor man’s superstar.
  7. If we don’t reach it, I would be happy to capture points at the 95 point pace for the remaining games. That’s 17-18 points out of 30.
  8. We’re probably gonna fall little short of that.
  9. The outcome is that a manager acting in an unsportsmanlike manner on the field (eventually) gets thrown out. Maybe that doesn’t have a huge impact on the game, but the offending person is actually removed. He is penalized. If anything this supports my point. Try punting the ball away or throwing it away in football. Try taking off your helmet and slamming into the ground. You’re immediately penalized.
  10. "The Rules of Squash contain 20 rules, and they are all of equal value. You may not pick and choose which Rule you wish to follow and which to ignore; you must observe them all. So Rule 17 (Conduct on Court) is of equal value with Rule 4 (The Serve) and Rule 12 (Interference). Thus if you commit an offense under Rule 17, you must be penalized—that is what the Rule says." https://squashmagazine.com/2009/10/a-kick-in-the-butt/
  11. I am unaware of any baseball player walking into the infield and doing this repeatedly, including Bo Jackson. Tennis: Section 18: Player shall not engage in unsportsmanlike conduct. During the course of a match a player shall not engage in: c. Racket abuse. Throw or break a racket other than in the normal course of play. I don't know about squash. I doubt someone can just go and repeatedly bang their racket against the wall until it breaks without it breaking a rule.
  12. It feels like you are intentionally misrepresenting what I said. Did Bo Jackson stand on the field of play and repeatedly smash his bat on the ground? Again, I'm not aware of another sport that allows a similar display to what Chicago's goalie did last night. That was not typical, even in hockey.
  13. It absolutely lets you edit your post. You must be doing something wrong. This happens to me occasionally.
  14. That's as ugly of a post as I've seen on here. Congrats Archie.
  15. Again, growing up there and knowing what was said on a conversation by conversation basis would make people's head explode if they weren't subjected to it. It's my opinion that most of Genessee County could be transplanted to the middle of Alabama and the only difference would be the accents and putting the word "the" in front of every road.
  16. I grew up in the town next to Batavia. After being away from there so many years, I couldn’t live in such an area and perhaps raise a family. I could not even begin to describe the over the top, every day racism and hatred for different people in that area. These days, for the few that actually remain on my Facebook feed, a lot of it’s hard to stomach.
  17. Can you name another sport where this is allowed? If you can’t, why not? What does it mean to have behavior that’s classified as unsportsmanlike in the rulebook, but other on ice unsportsmanlike behavior is clearly accepted?
  18. Their is slamming your stick in a show of emotion and then there is making yourself a spectacle. Two Chicago guys broke their stick on that play. The guy that nobody cares about broke a stick along the boards and skated off. The guy that everyone sat and watched take three chops at a goal post was a spectacle. Personally, I think becoming a spectacle is unwarranted.
  19. Why would anyone think they know the depth of DG’s understanding of the game? Just because he teaches the game a certain way to players at a certain age/level doesn’t mean he wouldn’t adjust his style for different players at different career prints. I think there’s no reason to artificially sell this man short.
  20. Doesn’t every sport have “passion”?
  21. I normally don’t pay attention to things like this. Has this ever been punished after the game?
  22. I’m just thinking about the display that Lankinen put on last night. Slamming your stick down once is understandable. But when you put on a full display of smashing your stick against a goal post multiple times, at some point it’s really not a good look for the sport.
