In Spruce Grove, Alberta, Mrs. Barnes feels her belly. "Doesn't this little guy ever quit?" she wonders. At 11:48 p.m., with the official arrival of Christmas only minutes away, she bravely announces: "It's time."

The Sabres spend Christmas Eve in St. Louis preparing for a game with the Blues the next day.
