Corp000085 Posted June 3, 2006 Report Share Posted June 3, 2006 We're playing with a lot of assumptions here, but lets say there's a sabres/hurricanes game in raleigh over the weekend... Well, there's also a team here called the fayetteville fireantz. Wouldn't it be cool to completely take over the 5000 seat arena with sabres fans on a friday night and then head to raleigh for the main event saturday?? The NHL would be crazy to not have a canes/sabres saturday matinee, as this has turned out to be a huge rivalry in the making. I think that this idea is great and can be pushed when the schedule comes out later in the summer for both the NHL and the fireantz (playing in the southern professional hockey league)... The drive from raleigh to fayetteville is about an hour, so its not all that bad. By the way, there's always weekend games for the fireantz, so it shouldn't be a hit or miss thing, but i guess we'll have to stay tuned. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
