What is the first tie breaker? If they both ended up tied in points Ottawa would have more wins and dominated the head to head.

Wins--Ottawa will have the tiebreaker. Sabres need 4 points, combined Ottawa lost points and Buffalo points, for Buffalo to clinch. If Buffalo loses everything and Ottawa wins everything, except Sabres beat Ottawa in regulation, Sabres still win the NE.

Yeah, no matter what else happens, if the Sabres win in regulation against the Sens, the NE is theirs. Edit: not sure why I needed to confirm that for you.

Simply put: If we win one more game(or get two more overtime losses) we clinch as Ottawa cannot get more than 97 points.
