Yes, the sun rose in Portland in this morning so in fact we know the world is not crashing around the Portland Pirates and not everything seems to be as disastrous as it looked yesterday at the Civic Center. The Pirates took to the ice this morning for practice and it looked like a team getting ready for tonight?s game in Springfield. The Pirates goaltending situation is even improving as Portland signed Kellen Briggs from the Ontario Reign of the ECHL to a PTO. Read the rest of this entry ? They played together for 2 years with Sioux Falls Stampede and 1 year at the U. of Minnesota. Hopefully this works out for Briggs - the Sabres need another goalie in the system.
