jagr and afingenov shouldnt be mentioned in the same sentence. jagr is an elite and complete nhl player, afin is just fast crafty euro with flashes of brillance. the differnence btwn the two is light years, not just the ability to finish.

The announcers were not as bad as the guys in the southeast....canadian broadcasts always have some redeeming value, at least the comercials are entertaining, plus we won, so they sounded great!

connolys goal was ridiculous - he took it end to end and beat a bunch of oilers. caught the game on the free center ice - a true team and full 60 minute effort, with some very nice goaltending mixed in. so satisfying.

sabes win 4-1. great goaltending, and some clutch goals. thank god they showed up for the 2nd and 3rd periods.
too bad for briere. the article in buff news on dumont said he is skating already.

big effort tonight boys, come out strong, take it to them from the start, protect in your our end, clear out the bodies in front, and breakout nicely. Lats nights defensive effort was subpar. Go Sabes!

The Toronto writers apparently don't know that the Sabres' road winning streak ended in Florida. Biggest homer media in the NHL. You always have to read between the lines.
The smokin' white-hot Buffalo Sabres are in town, winners of eight in a row on the road and 15 of their past 17 overall.

I dont have to take a breath when we are on this kinda roll. Its great and I am going to bath in it. It is something i havent seen, maybe, in my lifetime. I know its early, but this is impressive, and Im going to enjoy every minute, and I am going to forget reality and for a few months...I am going to believe.

We relaxed in the third, and they took full advantage of it. Didnt see the game, just listened.
Biron made a sweet save at the end to win his 13th straight, and Drury is producing - 18 pts in last 18 games, w/ 9 goals in the last 9. That is en fuego!!
Roy returned for the third, so it seems he is fine (got first star w/ 2 pts)
Max w/ 3 pts.
Connolly w/ 2 pts.

beautiful! Miller played very well, Kotalik and Vanek score, and max was skating like his hair was on fire.
