What a team! :D

I don't think anyone doubted the DiverCanes were/are a good team. It's just the inordinate amount of luck they got in the playoffs. First it was the Sabres missing 4 defensemen, then it was the Oilers missing their goalie.
-
As they say, it's better to be lucky than good.
-
Peters is gonna get one! I can feel it.
-
All I want is no injuries.

Phila radio commentator: "If you're wondering, 10 is the most goals the Flyers have given up on the road"
Awesome.
I take that to mean they've given up MORE than 10 at least once at home?
-
Thats what Game 7 of the ECF is for!
:(
Did you HAVE to bring that up?
-
Too bad the Sabres can't play some Amerks for the remainder of the period to see what they have in future prospects.
Then again, I guess they DO have Peters. ;)
-
How about invoking the mercy rule?
Too bad the Sabres can't play some Amerks for the remainder of the period to see what they have in future prospects.

8-1. When do the Flyers start a fight?
-
During the telecast, they said something about the new jerseys, but my power went out for a few minutes and I didn't catch it. It sounded like they were going to say it's the #1 selling team jersey in the NHL.

the toughest part of this season is going to be keeping these guys grounded. it is going to be so easy to take nights off when it comes this easy.
I don't get that sense, except from maybe some of the younger guys.
-
Jeeez, this team takes WAY too many penalties.
They need a bigger challenge. ;)
Bullspit penalty shot, but Miller makes the save.
-
The Minnesota Wild are on their way to a 5-0 start as well. Can you imagine the ratings bonanza for a Sabres-Wild SC Final?
-
I actually heard that Peters took up boxing. I don't know who said it or whether it came from Home Ice on XM, but that wasn't meant to be a pun nor a joke.
It would make sense. If that's his job, might as well learn how to do it right.
-
Seems to me that once Peters got himself into shape, he's been fighting better.
He's been taking Judo.
No, I just made that up.
-
This bugging me, but since when is the announcement in Buffalo "one minute to play in the period"?
Don't know what's bugging you exactly, but they made the same exact announcement in Detroit last night.

Just as a follow-up, despite how poorly the Sabres played, they STILL won. That my friends is the hallmark of a team that is REALLY good.
I can't wait until Connolly gets back. Assuming he can stay healthy.
-
tonight the sabres were not the better team.
overall they may be.
If you can go into a (strong) opponent's house after a 5-day layoff, having just come from your city which has been nailed by a deadly snowstorm, and get ANY points, much less the win, you're the better team in my book. And that's after spotting them a 2-0 lead on boneheaded miscues.
-
...The red wings...were not beaten by a better team tonight...
Don't know if I'd agree with that.
-
Great win after being down 2-0 early-on! This team continues to amaze.
And the Thrashers just tied the Herricanes. Hopefully another loss coming their way.
Oh and you're welcome here anytime, swedishconnection.
BTW, when will Connolly be coming back? Any word?
-
Thanks.

The Sabres played 3 games in 4 nights, with 2 of them on the road. I think we can cut them some slack for being a little sloppy but coming out with 6 points. If it continues, then it's an issue.

For some reason? It's the Bruins. Looks like a night to rest weary legs.
