Someone said Rick didn't want any tears upon his passing. He certainly wouldn't want the end of spirited Sabres talk.
I don't even think Radar's post is a good example of bad vibes. It was fine.
I was not artful, as usual - I just meant that I'm glad we're back to offseason bickering so quickly.

PA, I certainly understand your and the rest of the fans frustration with the franchises long drought. I share that frustration. As far as this being your country and the right to say our government sucks? Again I agree with you. As a veteran who served during Vietnam I can say I would not serve again under our current government....... it sucks. My issue is that your feelings seem to be personal against the Pegulas not merely questioning their decisions. Frankly I think our team is now headed in the right direction but only time will tell. My comments are not personal toward you only my take on your past posts.
I'm just happy that the RIP RJ good vibes lasted for less than a calendar day in here.

If THAT’s the victory, it illustrates how significant the “L” was.
It's only your use of "hella" that disqualifies all of your opinions.

We all know that the playoffs are officiated differently, and that's infuriating.
You basically have to build one team for the season and somehow another team for the two-month postseason.
The playoffs in the spring of 2006 were the closest to being officiated like the preceding regular season.
And even then, the Hurricanes won it all due to a rash of injuries to multiple teams.
Garage league.
(I really like our high-speed offense-oriented team in the regular season, but the playoffs do seem to still be "let's see who we can injure to affect this series.")

Yes, the shifting climate isn't a good thing for "settled living". But then, the Earth has gone through heating and cooling periods across its history. Ice ages, high temp events, meteor strikes, tectonic plates that snap under the seduction process that actually slightly shift or alter the shape of the planet (which both the recent Thailand and Japan seduction events did in scientific fact do) all have an impact on altering weather patterns. Throw in 8+ billion humans now on the planet that are in some way, shape or form involved in industrial processes that has impacts on the atmosphere because we as a species are in denial that it's the numbers that are the problem, not said processes as we have the ability for emissions capture, and it spells out transitioning times ahead.
But I digress.

Gotta grow them there fruits and veggies in the once bone dry California flat country that's not flooded lol
I was in a helo squadron 30 years ago out of North Island Air Station, we did workshops on emergency water dumps if called upon to assist state authorities. The redirecting of water in California is beyond significant, even those that administered that water flow admitted openly back then the environmental impact studies were a joke, with not one of them even remotely accurate as they were submitted with conclusions of "minimal impact".
Well, that was a straight out lie.....and Cali pays a price for those lies.
And the climate change makes it even worse!

It's getting worse because of the army corps of emgineers water shed diversion programs off of the Western ranges for the past 90 years.
Those damned emgineers.

I've lived in Los Angeles since 2000 - "fire season" is just one of the accepted seasons.
Yes, it's now getting worse everywhere because of man-made climate change.
But NYC people are just whining. -

Make expansion teams do it 1992 style again.

And I defend Pit Bulls all the time - I know a few that are sweethearts. But I've also read that they are much more likely to lose it if there are two or more of them in the same household. Pack mentality and all.
I suppose it makes sense that other animals can cause animals to revert to being animals.
Also, make sure to get those balls cut off.

Yes. I get called "boss" or "dude" or something similar by young people on occasion. I don't like being called "dog". I was called that once and I corrected the young man. Typically I don't say a thing if I sense they are just being friendly or polite. It is on parents to teach their kids how to address elders and how to show respect, otherwise they learn it from other places or they don't learn it at all.
Whatever you say, chief.

I often wonder what training people receive at fast food establishments? In the last month, at different places, my transaction ended 3 times with “here you go boss”, or, “take it easy boss”.
Boss? WTF. Honestly, I would prefer you say nothing. I should respond with “It is a good thing I am not your boss, because if I was, you would be fired”.
You're more miserable than I am.

I'm not sure the Sabres would have nailed the expansion process given their philosophy of creating a dynasty... In the year 3535.
I'm not sure whether you'll be happier if the Sabres make the playoffs next year or miss the playoffs next year.

How dare they ice a good team in quick order. We know these things take time! To do it the right way anyway!
/snark
Next year, the Sabres will get to poach a player from every other team and also have a draft. Expansion is now bliss.

You mean to tell us that in professional sports six-year plans don't always (or even usually and maybe even never) work out?
Every season's a distinct entity.
Go make the playoffs, Sabres.
They can shove 2029 up their bippy.
You're allowed to stop following the Sabres and still find misery elsewhere in your life.
