The isles are out of striking distance at this point IMO.  But if Pitt continues at this rate, they are going to play themselves out of the playoffs.  It's been there for the taking as pretty much all the teams fighting for 8th have gone ice cold.  Pitt, Fla, Buff, Wash, and Ottawa have all been awful their last 10.  It's almost like no one wants to actually take the spot

Lots of losses coming up for them, don’t bet on them yet.

Isles score twice in the third. Up 3-2 with 9 to go.

    ENG makes it 4-2 NYI!

Isles winning is huge, we need to have these teams cancel each other out with regulation wins. Also we have 6 games (12 possible points) to make up their 5 points, which is not unreasonable

I do wonder what this does for HRR as teams receive money for these broadcasts similar to how the Sabres are paid by MSG.

MSG is debuting their own streaming service in MSG Plus this fall.

The Sabres were not listed in the original press release and I do wonder about local blackouts.

How much would the Sabres have to charge for a season long subscription for a streaming service to allow games to be shown in market? Maybe 200-300 dollars?

With more and more people cutting the cord on cable, this seems like a no brainer.

I have ESPN + & get to watch every Sabres home broadcast just like I was in Buffalo, the after game stuff cuts off early but listening to Marty for too long is a standing joke in my house. What would Marty do ???!! ESPN+ was $99 & there's college UB Bulls games on there too with a lot of regional college stuff plus in-depth reporting / articles. It's a pretty good deal.

Can opinions/analysis that one disagrees with not be labeled awful and not bring out pitchforks?

Maybe it should not have been written in this thread. I personally do not agree that Kim's absence or Terry's distraction have meant anything in the standings. It represents a misunderstanding of what Kim did, for one. Also the timing isn't right. If the poster's notion is correct, we might see some future improvement. It wouldn't have shown up this soon. I mean, unless the thought is that Terry draws up the PP schemes and calls line changes down to the bench, and even I've never gone that far.

But yeah way to go Cancel Culture.

I love Buffalo & every sports team / respect all the ownership. I grew up in shoebox near the airport. The Sabres were an outlet for my frustrations & a life-support to me personally. If all of you love their ownership style & our lack of success since, good for you. I also in no way want anything but the best for their family, I will pray for her & her getting better. She was our 30-40 year backstop of ownership I expected, now it’s more like let’s see how it goes for therapy. It’s a nightmare scenario for the area & the future of the local professional sports teams, which they solely own. I hope they get organized & find any positive aspects from this can, including the team’s performance.

P.S. It’s been multiple months & we knew taken by ambulance / silence from the top meant something horrible happened. There’s no mystery or surprise, just details revealed & hope for her better health.

I’m glad she’s alive & has family to help her, good luck to her in her recovery. The Bills & Sabres (so far) record wise got so much better this past season for a reason, hopefully the family can pass the torch to the new generation sooner & they can stay hands off. The past 10 years of hockey has been difficult to watch, this season has been a savior for me mentally.

  6. The upsetting part is I figured she’d be good for another 40 years of ownership at least but they’re setting the teams up to move in 15 years of so. By then, it’ll be $25 Billion to buy a NFL team & our little $1.5 Billion cement pit we built won’t keep them in town. I hope she gets well soon, I’d expect it won’t be the case sadly.

I understand their right to privacy in this situation, and I fully respect that.

That said, she's not your everyday run-of-the-mill public figure.

She's a pioneer in field of professional sports, featured in many prominent business journals and media outlets.     An inspiration for young women who have similar aspirations.

I pray she fully recovers, but the lack of any information what-so-ever is concerning.

Do they provide an update at some point?  Or do they just let her slowly fade from our memories and all those young women who look up to her?

These woman looking up to her, can you please tell me what she’s alone has done specifically to accomplish all these things ?? I’d like to know besides love of wallet what they have to admire ?? They drilled holes in the ground and had great lawyers, I mean let’s be honest here.
