He's a better long term answer than Anderson or Dell or Subban for that matter. I'm not upset with him in the group yet it be nice to have a bonafide guy that can put in for 60 games and not look back which we've lacked since Miller.
Who was the bonafide guy that wasn't going to cost a serious asset(s) that was an actual realistic option (aka Campbell was not coming here)?

I love the moving.. goalposts.
Then: "Comrie is out there and he was amazing in 20 games! I can't believe KA won't get him and is going with UPL/Anderson!!"
Now: "Comrie only has 20 games and isn't a starter!"

The interesting thing is that neither Murray nor Botterill was a bad hire at the time. Both had earned their promotion by working in the front offices of successful organisations. In fact, both were a lot more qualified than KA in paper. But neither could do the management part of the GM job. People skills matter.
I've been confused about this narrative being pushed by certain individuals that the Pegulas wanted a lackey when Murray and Botterill were up and coming guys that were 'well respected' and considered good choices from around the NHL. They hired the guys that 'they were supposed to hire' and it wasn't working so they went with someone they knew and at the very least, he seems to make the people in the organization not hate working for them from players to the other staff. There still seems to be a lot of anger with some about KA getting the job though.

Drury didn't seem to want any part of Eichel. Drury seems to know what he is doing
Not that I disagree, I don't really know enough about the Rangers.. but aren't most of these players from the previous GM? Hiring Gallant is the only thing of note I'm really aware of from Drury since taking over.

But Matt is a reporter, no? Maybe I’m old school, but I look for professionalism and not-readily-available facts, from my reporters and personality and insight from my columnists.
How do you reconcile the two?
People *love* to complain. It's why PFF exists. They literally have said they publish numbers for the sole reason of upsetting certain fanbases because they know it will drive traffic. Skip Bayless, Stephen Smith get a lot of attention, but solid reporting or articles that have a lot of backing for opinions don't get the same amount of attention. People complain about it, but anytime a team gets mentioned there's always someone who can't wait to get that outrage high.

Also... if the Golden Knights do slip in the standings and don't make the playoffs several years running, all that hype will feel misplaced.
The Sabres are apparently on the way up, it would be good to create some synergy. Like maybe a video of Blur's Song 2 during warmups and having the lyrics replaced the first time or two with Tuch screaming WOOOO! and then switching over to live camera of the crowd. The WOOO would get the team up and rolling. There's probably better stuff than that, but I like the idea of something that draws the crowd to the players on the team.
Actually, the goal cannon in Columbus is pretty awesome imo.
I would like a strong voice singing the anthem.... and not jazzing it up.
I would like the anthem to be remixed into techno / death metal version and sung by Fran Drescher. 😉 That should get everyone pumped.

The average NHL Goalie salary is 2 million so I assume 20 goaltenders.

The devils fans think the game has passed Lindy by and he's basically a 'Hockey Neanderthal'

Thompson is definitely the better player for Buffalo which is all that matters.

This is silly. I can’t see the sense in trying to read much into this. It’s just Adams saying that he is ok with it if Johnson/Portillo decide to go back to school. My guess would be that if they feel going back is best for them Adams wants to support them in that decision.
I don't understand why some people try so hard to turn innocuous comments into something else. It's kinda hilarious in it's own way that someone would think this 'doesn't make them feel welcome'.
