Revisionist history usually takes longer to kick in.

Your initial post said on the bench and I called you out on it. Nothing made up. Bottom line. Also, I am aware of how the goal was scored, so there's nothing to admit. He was on the ice, he has an assist. The very fact that he has an assist means he was deemed to have been involved in the goal being scored. I don't make the rules of the game.

Have a great weekend and I hope your forgetfulness doesn't impact you forgetting where your phone, wallet, or keys are.

On the bench where he spends most of the game compared to Buffalo where he played an average of 18 minutes. If you didn't know the bench is where players sit while not on the ice.. that's not on me.

You clearly weren't aware that he gave away the puck to Boston while he was on the ice.. He had next to nothing to do with the goal besides screwing up and be bailed by an amazing play from Barkov. It seems like you still haven't actually watched it.

Goalposts are heavy. Put them down. Stop lying as well. It's not a good look.

That is including VO’s departure and the $4.2 million cap increase.

I’m not saying we have no room to manoeuvre. Unless we are going to be bold though, there isn’t as much room as some might think.

I feel like this is misleading. The Sabres $8.48M in cap space is the 3rd most in the league and they are also projected to have the 3rd most. The only teams with more space are the Blackhawks and the Ducks.

So you admit he was on the ice for the GWG. Got it. Also noted, he was on the bench for all the games so far, which is to say he's in the lineup.  Which is not what you were attempting to say about him. You incorrectly used on the bench as a reference of not playing. It's all good. You said it.

I'm not going to blast Okposo as a captain because to this point we've not seen if this team will listen to anyone.  Be it the "C" or the coach. What we are sure of is that this team blasted accountability as they walked out the door. We know that their new coach said that a player is accountable to themselves and then their teammates before he even mentioned being accountable to the coach.

We'll find out this season if the players that remain are willing to do what it takes. For all I know Okposo said some stuff, found our the roster and coach didn't back it and said "F it". Get me outta here.

The past is in the past. Change the roster, set your leadership, let's see what happens.  The only thing that will change how I feel about this team is winning.

Those goalposts are heavy. I'd also appreciate you not making stuff up. I never said he wasn't on the ice. You completely made that up. I never said he wasn't active. You completely made that up. He's on the bench most of the time like he should have been in Buffalo. He plays a role in Florida where he gets ~10 minutes of ice time. He is a broken down vet that doesn't add much.

So just admit you didn't know he lost the puck to Boston and it was recovered by Barkov who then single-handedly went up the ice through 3 opposing players to score.

It's a strange comment to make when you look at this Game 4 Recap - https://www.nhl.com/gamecenter/bos-vs-fla/2024/05/12/2023030214

Pretty sure you can't play the puck from the bench, so how did he get an assist on the GWG?

Of course being on the bench in hockey means you are in the lineup, which he has been for every game this series..

Your insults just don't have the right impact when you make such egregious mistakes.

You may have wanted to watch the goal. I'm not sure how integral Okposo losing the puck to Boston was to Barkov taking it back then skating through 3 guys to score.

When I see things like 25% of the Buffalo Bills are for sale and the Rochester Knighthawks are up for sale. That tells me Terry Pegula is slowly selling his sports assets to get out and retire.

This seems more like confirmation bias than anything. Both things have reasonable explanations..

The Knighthawks due to him owning another NLL team (and I believe the NLL telling him he has to sell one of the teams eventually).

The Bills due to the NFL allowing private equity ownership. You're going to see stories of every team in the league selling off some portion of ownership because the price paid will be very high and with the stadium coming in, it makes sense that Pegula is one of the first to move on it.

  7. The earlier the better so that they can get in touch and figure out what they want to do.. waiting until Friday afternoon or late in the day makes it harder for them to communicate. Never wait. It's a crummy thing to do.

Which pretty much fired up the Bruins though and probably was why they won. Lots of rat play on both sides in this series. Fun to watch.

..and the annual Leafs fan meltdown is always amusing too. I'm really enjoying the narrative that refs called penalties in their favor at the wrong times and ruined momentum they have going over on HF right no.

It's hard to think who would run the power play, all the top teams in the playoffs aside from Boston had the best power plays so I doubt we can poach any of those guys.

I guess there's a possibility that they might want to go somewhere else because a coach with a top powerplay and in the playoffs probably isn't going anywhere so going elsewhere and having a good powerplay again would write their ticket. Even if that were the case, I don't see Ruff making that sort of hire though.

It's interesting and worthy speculation that something is financially amiss concerning overruns, other finances and  health family issues.  We'll see where this goes. I get they own too much sports stuff they cannot manage.

I'd say it's much more likely that it's due to the NFL allowing private equity to own stakes in teams which will drive up the purchase price of teams.

Not liking how this sounds.  How about some self respect for the job you have?

You can be "right" or you can be realistic. The idea that professional athletes shouldn't need someone to motivate them is an emotional argument made from a fictitious moral high ground.

I've found that most people when put under a microscope don't like what they see about their ability to 'self motivate' to do the things they're supposed to do.

.For as much as an overwhelming majority of the fan base want change, outside of maybe some asst. coaches, the roster is where that change will occur. There are real time improvements that have been made, and to not acknowledge them while our frustration grows just doesn't feel right.

    1. Goaltending.......inside organizational growth has improved this position. No need to get in to the particulars, we all watch it.

    2. Defensive corps.......improved, the 2nd half of season gaa says it all, and while it's a complete effort, the defense has improved.

    3. Forward ranks........we all know the skill talent is there, need on ice leadership towards what some call grit, others call heart. For myself, it's called individual accountability from each player to dig down game after game to apply a full 60 min. effort. Leadership on the roster is critical for this in my opinion ad Donny can't throw on a jersey and join the in game action. Sure the coach can do some, make adjustments, hold players accountable, but it's the players that need to self police their own play imo.

So, from my view, we stay the course, continue to build the maturity of the roster, add those character leadership players in the off season and beyond. I'm very optimistic about this current teams future. I see an upward mobility in the standings in our immediate future.

"Steady as she goes, stay the course".'

f*ck, Kevyn, don't you have anything better to do?
