If they go into next season with Ellis coaching the PP they don’t want to win. How else do you explain the lack of a plan to improve the PP ? Get someone in there that was on a friggin power play in their carreer. Matt friggin Ellis…
Seems like this outfit values a pleasant workplace over on-ice success. Meatballs and his crew will be back next year because everyone really, really likes them.

Refs trying to help us, but we can’t help ourselves. Hard to believe our PP has been so bad for so long.
Is it, though?

Remember when someone would make a big hit or drop 'em to try to give their team some energy when they're down 2-0?
Pepperidge Farm remembers...
Yeah, when Lindy was behind the bench.

They look like they played last night. It probably won’t get better in the 3rd.
Doubt it does. But how many times this year have we got our head kicked in by a team on the back of a back-to-back?

The ineptitude of our power play is beyond embarrassing.

Hits 20-8 Leafs… Wearing us down… Confounding our players just take it.
They threw 37 hits last night, tonight they look afraid to get physical. ***** maddening. What is our "system"? What is our identity? Get a coach in here that can get these guys organized. They're a wildly different team from game to game, and as such, you get wildly inconsistent results.

If there are actually Sabres fans there, God bless them. It sounds like they are crapping the bed again?
That's what they do. Play well one game, come out flat and listless the next. The only thing consistent this season is their inconsistency.

After narrowly missing the playoffs with the youngest team in the league last season, anything less than the playoffs this season should be considered a failure and cost people their jobs. I'm sure we'll get the usual "youth" tropes in the season's postmortem instead, and they'll just run it back next season.

I'm at the point in the season where a good book or the Yankees game feels like a better choice than watching these humps.

The talent is here. It's not a perfect roster by a damn sight, but there are good young players here. We saw it last season. We've seen flashes of it this year. The problem is, the coaching staff doesn't want to hold anybody accountable for poor play and boneheaded mistakes. Get a staff in here that will whip these guys into shape, sprinkle in some veteran leadership that can actually still play hockey, and watch this team break 100 points and play into May.
Will they actually do that? Seems unlikely.

If they're back next season, it'll be another wasted one.
I've said it before, given the expectations going into this season, a serious hockey organization would have moved on from Granato in December (or early January at the latest) when his club was totally listless and couldn't string together 2 wins in a row. This is not a serious hockey organization. It's an "outfit" that wants to keep nice guys around because they're nice.

To me the worst part of this ***** show is the divide that is occurring between the team and the fanbase. I don't ever recollect it seemingly being this toxic.
About to be the 13th straight year outside of the playoffs in a league where literally 50% of the teams make it every year. It's a stunning failure to have not made it at least once over that period. Add in the fact that they teased us last year, leading most of us to expect that drought to end this year and, yeah, people are angry. They're lucky some fans still care enough to be angry. Many franchises would be drowning in fan apathy at this point.

I turned it off after the first. Just got around to checking the final score. We won the last 2/3 of the game!

With the players we have a poor power play is inexcusable.
Remember early last season when it was absolutely humming? I think it was running around a 30% clip for a while...

In a vacuum, I'm not a huge fan of bringing Lindy back. But I'd take him over Granato and crew without putting any thought into it.
