P1ss-poor showing today, albeit against a very, very good team. Gonna need some real leadership to keep this season from circling the f@&$/$ drain.
This. Rebound, show some fight and grit, win a few games. Don’t give up, have some dignity. If we win half of these last games I think it will carry over to next year. Mail it in and man, I don’t even want to think about it. The Bruins this year, imho, are possibly a generational team.

Will someone take UPL for a bag of pucks? Comrie?
You gonna sell them a bridge too. I like my pucks, no way!

Bruins fans laughing at us in our own building. This may be the most embarrassing moment in Sabres history. What a ***** joke!!!
No way, not even the most embarrassing moment against the Bruins. Lucic (sp) running Miller with no real response is the worst for me. I still haven’t recovered from that. When we punch these f@#keys in the face and dominate them, we will have exorcised that demon that haunts us. Whoah, got that off my chest, thanks. I think.

What praytell do you learn for getting your ass kicked and giving up Rob?
That getting your ass kicked sucks? I don’t ever want that again and I’m gonna work my ass off so it never happens again?
Will they take that approach? Who knows? Why are we still watching? 🧐

The years just continue to beat you down. Some can still fight it and stay positive that everything will be OK, for others, they have been beaten down so much that you get to the 'I'll believe it when i see it" mentality.
I’m with ya man. Just had major back surgery Monday. I’m extremely limited. A bit down. I’m like come on Sabres just give me a win please. Washington was crushing. When our teams do well, seems like the world’s a better place, at least for me.But man, someday before I die we will a damn championship. But yeah, I’m the delusional optimistic guy that believes one day……..

Were they also going to the game on their Unicorns to sit next to Sasquatch
If they thought there was going to be a 'Crushing of the Bruins' they are beyond Optimism and more into the Delusional category
Leave my unicorn out of it! Man I like the Bills and Sabres. Get pumped up every year to get get in the crotch. It what us die hard fans do. Do not look for an argument on my stance. Buffalo sells hope and I get in line. What section is Sasquatch sit?

VO sucks at every other aspect of the game. Can a marginal team with so many holes really afford to keep a player who only contributes in a limited role and who often goes long stretches without even doing that? I think it’s a fair question.
Regarding the scapegoating, I can’t agree at all given those glaring holes elsewhere that I mentioned previously.
What do 30 goal scorers usually fetch in a trade? Can VO honestly get us the going rate?
It is a fair question. I think he’s a luxury we can’t afford. I’m ok with some or a lot of the rest of his game is lousy. I personally think we should have moved him at the deadline. I just think it’s ironic that if we got rid of him, and then in a year or two need a goal scorer. I was not arguing to keep him.

Most likely, I was also going to say that I would complain about the fans being there for wanting to see this in person......
They went to see us crush the Bruins. Eternal optimism. But why complain? Maybe I’m missing you r point. No worries.

Because they are mostly in Black and Gold with B's?
That’s not the fault of the Sabres fans that are there and cheering. I’ve heard them. God only knows how they are doing it. Sadomasochists I guess?

The one trick is scoring goals. If we had decent goaltending he would not be discussed as a problem.
VO is being used as a scapegoat
Man I stay out of the VO wars. I was surprised he wasn’t moved at the deadline to a contender. A team that’s really close that could use a goal scorer. Use him sparingly, then turn him loose on PP. If we trade him, eventually we will be looking for a “goal scorer”. I’m not wading into the argument, especially how heated it is with this freaking game. Plus I’m no expert. I am open to discussion only. That last part wasn’t meant for you.

I like Tuch with the C, Dahlin and Cozens with A's next season.
Me too. Wait, what about Girgenson? I still think he has value on the team, and I think he’s a good A. I don’t know. 🤬

How about an A? I like Tuch for C. If Kyle is gone.

I want to take my 6 year old and 4 year old to the last home game for their first ever game. Gothead jerseys and fan appreciation night. I’m still 50-50 about it. I don’t want to pay that much to go to a game just yet. It’s just not worth it. Meanwhile I spent almost 2k on 4 bills tickets this year in 2 games
Tickets might be cheap. My kids really liked going to a game. If tickets are cheap and Sabres are done, I’d bring them. They will definitely enjoy the experience. Help them to be fans. They probably aren’t invested enough to care. My kids liked the experience. Hopefully you can take them next year when hopefully we’re playing good hockey. But then it will be expensive. 🤔

The Sabres are clearly intimidated. They're playing scared.
Although they are starting to show a little bit of grit.

TNT hasn't scored since March 4.
I’m no hockey guru but I’m sure they are playing him differently. Seems like they always have a defender cheating his way.

I hate pulling goalies early. Unfortunately I think your right.

Boston has zero respect for us. In fact I think they are laughing a bit. 🤬

You need to give him more time but hes not a fit beacuse of his speed just cant keep up.
Omg, totally agree. Can we give him some time to adjust. He definitely can’t be on a “speed line”. Who knows what Donnie’s got planned for him. I’m willing to be patient and I don’t expect the final product this year.

Finding the missing pieces that add toughness and grit are a challenge. Already Greenway seems unwilling to take on that role. What a major disappointment he was last night.
The “lack of depth “ is mostly a problem on the defense. You see what happens with Bryson in the line up. Clagg is weak also.
I agree they are tough to find. And Im not looking for John Scott. I want a forward to drive the net, and defensemen that generally get pissed about anyone from another team being within three feet of our goalie. For instance if an opposing forward inadvertently makes contact with our goalie after a save, he should at least take gloves to the face. Honestly, I hate that we let them do that. We don’t have to fight, we just need to make it uncomfortable to be there. Eventually they won’t do it.
I’m not gonna decide anything long term on Greenway. He just got here. Had to move, meet new teammates, settle in etc. I agree, early eye test is not encouraging. But neither was Tage. I’m not saying he’s Tage, but I’m sure Donnie Meatballs has a plan for him. I think our plan is he crashes the nets and generally abuses the other team. Maybe Donnie sees some offensive upside. Personally, I don’t like it, but my hockey career died when I was 12. I was a pretty good firefighter though. Lol.Thanks for your post. As far as Bryson and Clagg………… I’m with the end of the world folks on here as far as that’s concerned. 😎

I hear it. Maybe the season doesn’t carry over, but culture and expectations do. McDermott says the same thing, that’s why I don’t believe it😂. Coach speak. I’ve been fortunate to play sports on teams that had a winning culture and ones that didn’t. That ***** makes a world of difference. Full disclosure, not a pro team, and a different sport. But as an organization I think these last games matter.
