Hopefully, Skinner will be fine. The team finally began to play ...

I like Hutton. He is very worried if something goes wrong and tries very hard.

Jack was too tired for first shot..

The team is trying. No one is going to give up. It is very important

How many times Hutton must save us...

See how many were on passes and how many ricocheted off of opposing players first while on the PP.
maybe .. But it is also possible they do not have enough experience to take a pass

I wouldn't trade Risto either but the biggest issue I have with him is he obviously went to the Josh Gorges school of passing the puck, ping... 3 feet behind the guy, ping.... into the guys skates, ping..... 5 feet in front of the guy for an icing call. The guy kills more breakouts than a prison guard.
He have 31 assists) Even with our lame score..

For me Risto is our best defenseman now. He can score, he have speed, power. He is not soft. It will be big mistake to trade him

No doubt, trade ROR was big mistake, but it is past. We must think what to do now. We need new leaders..

Ahhh, and what does Edmonton need? Chances are we could accommodate.
nothing will save them. But if they suggested I would give them KO, Sobotka and Scandella. But not all. The only ones from the main composition of whom I do not mind losing

My prediction:
Sabres will be buyers at the deadline. Beaulieu and Nylander plus a couple more are the bait. KO’s injury saves him from being traded. JBott is likely not happy about Scandella’s injury because I think he is/was on the block. I also think a first round pick is on the block as well. JBott is going after a 2C first and foremost. If he gets it this will be the first inflated contract he gives this offseason.
FL1 and FL4 are good to go leaving the middle six. FL3 with Smith-ERod-TT is fine for this year. This leaves FL2. JBott’s vision:
Mitts-New Guy-Sam
GMs Intent: Get to the playoffs this year expecting a round 1 loss. Appease the fans and ownership to buy more confidence. Offseason includes a turnover on D except Risto, Dahlin and McCabe. Sobotka, KO, Scandella, and Bogo are moved for veteran players who can still play while changing some attitudes. Next year’s goal is round 1 but capable of 2, no Cup expectations.
Following season we see the real Buffalo Sabres. Young core are now veterans with experience in winning and playoffs. No excuses. Two years of drafts and trades restocks the Amerks and we become a franchise who develops NHL players, not trading for them.
Next Few Years:
Do not be surprised if Sam is moved and offers for Jack are made. Dahlin is the franchise player, not Jack. This doesn’t mean I want him moved unless the price is perfect. Risto will be the D anchor and stays but gets second pair minutes. Hutton gets moved for a short term back up and pick. Ullmark is the man.
If Jack is moved Skinner becomes C, Dahlin and 2C get the A. Our additions lead to heavy bodies increasing physical play which leads to puck control in the OZone limiting the need for all our attack rushes and odd man opportunities. Bigger bodies on the PP bring it back to where it needs to be. Memes of Leaf fans crying dominate the internet.
Not bad future. We need someone who can score and make good passes to FL2. Someone like Nugent-Hopkins in Edmonton.

How did you become a Sabre fan?
Since childhood I have dreamed of being a hockey player. Especially after being interested in NHL broadcasts. But since hockey in our country unfortunately almost does not develop, but only football, it remains a dream. But this did not prevent me from even watching the broadcast. And since I do not like to root for the strongest, I chose for myself a young team, not from the most famous, but good city, which writes its history - Buffalo. In addition, I have always liked the shape of the blue-yellow flowers as the flag of my country and the two crossed sabers, as a symbol of the invincible spirit and thirst for victories ...

Sounds like me in St Louis. Never saw in win in over 20 years.
This team gets into slumps that are legendary and continue no matter the coach /GM.
Excellent second post. I hope your correct.
Did you see our schedule after Florida?
Yes. I saw it unfortunately. But I also saw how many defeats in Philadelphia were before their series of victories. This is hockey ...

Philadelphia won 12 of its 15 games, and we still ahead of them. We have every chance to go to the playoffs for the first time in many years. I believe - we can!?♂️

Welcome!!
I am just venting about the lack of effort by the players who have clearly given up on the season and themselves. That said, the first half was not a true reflection, but it did show what can happen if the players give better effort and lady luck smiles on them.
Sent you a beer.
I agree with this. Thanks for the beer?

We have a team that was the first in the first half of the season and won 10 games in a row, and you want to sell everyone? We need a couple of good purchases, the team needs experience...
