Article/interview with Granato in the athletic is interesting. Players talking about being pushed harder Fairburn adds:
“As for how demanding his practices were, Granato noted they had 56 games with one day or no days between games. He said, “Your job as a coach is to push your team and create urgency. You’re balancing all the time how hard you can push”.”
I think he came across positively, but also rather naive.

I think Reinhart signs in Vancouver or Seattle
I think you’re right, however I do wonder if Utah will come in with an outlandish offer

idk but I would have assumed he could. Wasn't it the same with Shane Wright in Seattle and they let him go down?
Didn’t right end up with 4 years of CHL credit? After Seattle did the IR/AHL recovery/world juniors he went back to his CHL team for the rest of the year. I was almost certain he got credit for the Covid year.

Don’t need to tell you guys about the flaws of +/-.
But within that context it does give you some indication of how successful a player has been in his role and relative to his team.
On a team that is -7, 20-year-old Nikita Novikov is +19, far and away the best on the Amerks.
He has 23 points in 62 games.
No idea what the underlying metrics and eye test is saying, but the numbers look promising.
Mattias Samuelsson had 12 points in 23 games as a 20-year-old rookie, and was -8 on an inferior Amerks team.
Very excited to see him on the big team eventually.

I never played the game. I’m aware of it and watched my bro play. It’s wacky. Walton Goggins in genius in everything. Ella Purnell might be pushing Sydney Sweeney down my celebrity crush ladder.
I started Fallout 4 last year, but not got very far. Series seems to capture the vibes. Might have to restart it.

Watched first few episodes of Fallout. I’m really enjoying it.

You can say it's on the players, but if so, then what's the point of the coach?
Exactly. Why did DG need 2 seasons to implement his “system”? Doesn’t appear to be the way the NHL works. I think he has shown he out of his depth.

Boudreau or Gallant of the available guys (assuming they would come).
I think Donnie should be with the Amerks or have some kind of developmental role in the organisation.
The rest of the coaching staff (except Bales) need to go.

I hope he gets it. Records are made to be broken.

Hate is a strong and overused word.
I don’t know any of the players so will not say I hate any. I have grown tired of watching several, however.

Don Granato: MUPPET WRANGLER.
Lindy Ruff officially hired as Sabres HC

Wasn’t overawed with the hire. But a little more awed now after listening to the xbuffalo podcast. Hire makes more sense. Worth a wee listen.
