marty packaged with someone might bring some value, although i'd sell biron for a bag of pucks to save his stupid salary. Miller is obviously the starting goalie, so i really could care less what they get for marty.

Seeing Emery in goal tonight (he was in goal last game too, i think) reminds me of the previous two or three seasons when it seems that every team in the league felt comfortable playing their second string goalie against the Sabres. It seems that every Sabres opponent is totally conemptuous of the Sabres offensive abilities, with good reason.
Why oh why do i keep signing up for Center Ice. Every year i renew, hoping that the Sabres will be worth watching and every year I'm prfoundly disappointed. Isn't insanitydefined as doing the same thing over and over again, hoping that you'll see a different outcome?
i have the same thoughts on nfl sunday ticket... center ice was a gift... one i will refuse to renew if things continue in this direction

vanek had a couple good scoring chances. this team is just so soft and weak tonight. no heart. however, they can still make a statement with a period and 3 minutes to go

another ottawa penalty. biron has looked sharp tonight. couple good breakaway saves and no bonehead puckhandling mistakes.

sabres are playing some less than stellar defense, however its less sloppy than recent games. still 0-0 with both teams getting a few good scoring chances. 12 minutes left in an uneventful 1st period... the bodies are beginning to fly a little though. vanek had a breakaway and his shot was partially deflected by emery (hasek is not playing)
