Can't believe they got the point.
Tho 05-06 team always seemed to find ways to pull out comebacks like this.

I didn't even see what happened. Did the veteran trip?
His dog was spooked and slipped her leash before he could drop the puck. Then he slipped

I've never worn them. They're a souvenir item showing historic weinermobiles over the ages. I meant to get them framed but just never have.
Your discipline is impressive. If I had a pair they would be my go to date night conversation piece
Sneaky little pass by skinner there

Stuck in rural south-central Virginia this week. Glad I have this game to look forward to tonight

Patrick Mahomes, as best as I can tell, has tied the NFL record for most TD passes in the first two games of a season and breaking the previous record (6) for most TDs in your first two career starts.
He has 9 TDs through two games.
And apparently while I was looking this up, he got another one. 10 TDs and new record.
On a nondescript corner somewhere in upstate NY, Jeffismagic is standing on a soapbox screaming through a megaphone that the savior has come and it's too late for the doubters to change their tune

I couldn't watch last night. Will be very dissapointed if we can't find something tonight

Right, that would be the star portion of my post. Still, that only adds 2 or 3 teams to the list of big time draws, and that's in the case where your big star isn't already playing in one of the major markets.
Ultimately, the upshot of this is an attempt to turn "Wednesday night hockey" into a brand a la Monday night football. It's a longshot for sure.
Outside of the major markets there are countless "fans" who only turn in for the playoffs. if the NHL can turn WNH into sports fan appointment viewing instead of what hockey hardos watch when their team is off, that would be the ultimate success. Spreading the slots out to emerging markets could help that cause

I saw him run a good bit there, as well as back paddling and getting himself into dangerous, long sack situations
Big Ben used to take those hits early in his career too. The key is for Josh to keep those positive runs and eliminate the stupid ones. Time will tell

Rosen has his preseason debut tonight. I preferred Allen at the draft but will be interested in seeing what Rosen can do.

You could also Play him on Mitts wing. Start them in the O zone at an obscenely high rate and let them do what they do best

Cody Ceci ranks 666th of 694 regular skaters in total WAR over the last 3 seasons. He's my 83rd-ranked RDThat's the guy who created/runs corsica hockey. The reason for that tweet is prior to arbitration, Ceci wants $6M per year from Ottawa. Even without that stat, Ceci had 19pts last year
Sounds like he really just wants out of of that organization

Recovering from such a monumental mistake as a young player to have an 800 game NHL career....that sort of character and resiliency could help this team bounce back from tough losses and mistakes.

The Blues and Minnesota played a preseason game at sprint center in KC last year. FWIW I had no idea who Thompson was but left the game thinking that he was going to be a difference maker. His hands and shot were clearly a step above the Thorburn and Chris Stewart types who were in the game. His raw talent level made him stick out.
The keyword here is RAW. There were times where he tried to dangle or do to much with the puck. He also clearly needed to bulk up.
A year of playing disciplined, bottom six minutes on a defensive team should be prove to be beneficial. He struck me as a player at the NHL level who should be able to flash his offensive upside a few times a game but needed to learn how to play a simple north / south game in between those chances to strike.
If he does this he will be a shooter who is capable of positively contributing to possession on the cycle as well as plant in the slot for rebounds and tips.
His upside is likely Johan Franzen. I do not think he has the temperament to slot in as a big fourth liner if he doesn't blossom as a scorer. 3 years from now he's either a top 6 NHL forward or an AHL all star.

After day one of UFA and ROR trade. Still could be more moves, but I like this team better then last years already.
Sobatka, Eichel, Reinhart
Sheary, Mitts, Okposo
Wilson, Bergland, Thompson
Girgensons, ERod, Pommer
McCabe, Risto
Scandella, Dahlin
Guhle, Bogo
Hutton
Ullmark
extra- Larsson, Baptiste, Nelson
I would swap sobotka and Berglund. Sobotka has more speed and Berglund has more finish

reminds me of that Tavares highlight from a few years ago where he just would not lose the puck. Scheifele just had one like it this week too
