  1. Definitely. Luckily I'm married as I don't think this would make for great first date banter. However, some people may care to know if the $200-$300 jersey they just purchased is the same as the players wear while others couldn't care less and are happy to save money on one purchased from DHgate. Others may just want to know how the new jerseys fit in comparison with ones they bought back in 2007. Don't even get me started on customization. There's a big difference in buying the same customized jersey from the NHL shop versus the Sabres directly or a site like Ice Jerseys. I'll stop there before you have me committed.
  2. True, I forgot about those. Reebok’s were made in Canada between 2005-2010. Adidas purchased Reebok in 2006 and started putting their name on NHL jerseys during the 2017-18 season.
  3. Yes and no depending on how technical you want to get. Prior to Adidas taking over a couple years ago, retail authentics and game worn jerseys were basically the same. Same shape and weight while both were made in Canada. Now Adidas sells the Adizero jersey as the retail authentic which they make in Indonesia. Player worn jerseys are still produced in Canada. The Adizero retail jersey is a lighter weight material with a more tapered fit than what the players actually wear. If you bought an authentic prior to 2011 it would have a boxier look as they were sized as if you’d be wearing pads. The new ones are made to fit more like a sweater true to size. In many ways they fit better but they are not the same quality that same quality as the older CCM/Reebok’s. That’s also reflected in the fact they actually dropped in price from the Reebok days.
  4. It looks like Dick's (SFW) has some "authentic" Eichel and blank jerseys in stock too
  5. www.icejerseys.com still has the authentic Eichel on sale in most sizes for $228.90. They also have blanks in most sizes that they will customize for $49 with a sale going on today. They’re out of Canada and their customization is top notch. Free shipping and no tax too. As mentioned earlier, true on ice jerseys that the players wear are still made in Canada and when Adidas took over they they started making the “authentic” in Asia (lndonesia I think). They’re a little lighter weight than the on ice jersey but size similarly and have the fight strap.
