He's not going anywhere, and neither are any of the other UFAs. KA did all he planned to do on Wednesday. We'll lose all those players to retirement or leaving with nothing in return while we have zero hopes of making the playoffs. This franchise is a joke.

    Well, my foot tastes delicious

  2. Don't forget that during that time Ullmark was having alot of family tragedy and just wanted to focus on the game. I believe that the reports at the time were true that he told KA that he was going to sign here and then negotiated with Boston last minute. The Sabres did the right thing and didn't pressure him if he gave his word that he was going to stay. I think that's how it all went down because at the end of the day I think KA is a good man first and a GM second. That's why I think our culture has changed so much. Trust started flowing from the top down.

  3. Good riddance. I was depressed with Ullmark leaving, but I'm honestly feeling better and better about this team solely for the fact that they're getting rid of him.

This is just an attempt to lower his trade value so KA has to pull the trigger on a trade now even if the return sucks. I sincerely hope KA doesn't blink.

  4. I don't know why, but I like him. I wanted him 2 years ago too. It's not based on anything other than I can mentally see him coaching an inspired team in the playoffs. He just has that inspiring badass vibe. He does remind me of a more relatable Lindy Ruff. I can see him getting a group of underachievers to run through a wall but with a decent uncomplicated system. But my view is not evidence based. Just a feeling.

...... so you hope the team’s best player is out for a month?

From what it sounds like that's inevitable given the recovery time from the disk replacement given the earliest date that surgery can be started. I don't see front office budging on foregoing the full 12 week rehab period.

If for some reason Jack ends up staying in Buffalo, please noooo, he should have the C removed. Has this happened before in the Sabres organization? For sure in the league but can’t recall it in Buffalo.

My hope is that he stays and misses the first month after surgery and they do a nothing but alternates scenario. Take the pressure off him and just let him focus on his game.

It sure would be sweet if our playoff chances hinged on these three games. After the 3 game set we’ll know plenty about whats lacking in this lineup and just where we stand against teams like Bawston. S’pose Bostons playoff chances could come down to these 3 games. Must win.

My top 2 loathed teams have always been Ottawa and Toronto, but damn if the Bruins haven't made a strong case for knocking Ottawa out of thier spot.

You do understand that I would sign him to a short term deal and it wouldn’t be near $8 per either?
maybe you didn’t comprehend my gamestop analogy ?

The man has stated publicly without hesitation that he'll waive his NTC to get out of here ASAP after he's done zero to elevate or help this team. In what world do you think you're not gonna have to overpay to keep him? His play has been awful, his grit and mental toughness is nonexistent, and he's trying to bail rather than be part of the solution. The fact that he has talent and continues to phone in almost every game as soon as he hit adversity means he's a bum. That is not a person you want in the room when you're trying to claw your way out of the darkness.

You are probably a guy that bought GameStop at $400 and sold when it went back to $50

No, but you're probably the kinda guy that signs players like Skinner to $9M per with no thought on team identity or culture, huh?

He's not hesitating to waive his NTC to get out of here. He's done nothing here to even give a glimmer of hope he fits with or can help elevate this team. And you wanna try to sign someone who doesn't wanna be here? The amount you'd have to overpay for this BUM is laughable.

Since 2016 he is a top 30 player in points per game, even including this abysmal season

I can’t believe he has forgotten how to play.   He had covid, he never got to play with a healthy Eichel and the wheels fell off

buy low and get him on a good contract and hope he rebounds.

It’s not like the Sabres have all this depth to replace him

I don't want him in a Sabres jersey for another game, let alone another year. He's a bum and I want his stink away from this team ASAP.
