  1. One other thing this week...all you fuggers(and I'm not just talking about teenagers) who drive through a subdivision like you are at Daytona suck. Barely stopping at stop signs(I'm not talking about rolling stops), taking turns on two wheels, going 40+ mph etc...

I'm surprised you don't hear about more people being hit by cars in subdivisions.

That's what trunks and shovels are for :death:

  2. Let's add Jason Peters to that list. He has one decent year and thinks it's a good idea to hold out. Screw him, the Bills should let him sit home for the next three seasons.

My biggest complaint this day is not having sports talk to listen to in the morning. Earlier in the week they're talking about a wedding. Today it was text messaging. I hear more actual sports talk on 97 Rock. It's not like there is anything going on. Just Bills training camp, some big names are moving in baseball and the Olympics are coming up. Maybe tomorrow someone will have bought new socks or something. :wallbash:

  3. I don't think The Sens have any illusions that they're going to challenge for the #1 seed, at this point I think they'll settle for a playoff spot.

What is the deal with the Sens. They seem to have all the talent in the world. Is it that they don't have a Chris Drury? Is it a lack of faith in the goaltending? Coaching?

    Where is MartinHavletismygod?

  4. Where are the balls on this team? Is the Zamboni driver the only one who has them? Come on guys, show some pride. I hope there are not crapping out already. Ottawa sucks and we're their ? F that.

I don't think losing two fo three equals "".

The Sens are a damn good team. If they get any type of goaltending then can finish #1 in the East again.

It's not going to be a cake walk. Teams know what the Sabres are. Every team is going to use it's games againt the Sabres as measuring sticks. Like the Sabres would do against the Sens, Devils and Red Wings in the past.

It's good to see players like Paestch, Stafford and Novotny stepping in and playing well. When you have a smaller skill team injuries are going to be a part of the process. The ROC will play a big role in this teams success as it did last season.

  5. The Sabres have to cut down on the dumb penalties. The Sabres have kept teams in games with the penalties. At some point it's going to bite them in the arce. Buffalo should step on the ice tonight and beat the Panthers in workmen like fasion. Carry the 5 on 5 play and be better on special teams.

    Sabres 4 Panthers 1 ;)

  6. Now that was a game well played by the Sabres(except for the penalty troubles)!!!

Go Briere and Stafford can play!!!!

Yes he can. So can Paille and a bunch of other guys in the ROC. That's why I've been banging the anti-Peters drum all season. Stafford plays 12 minutes and Paille 11. 5 on 5 the Sabres were able to roll four lines. Takes away the Ranger power plays and the Sabres carried the play. I hope these guys stick with the big club. Novotny, Paille and Stafford are this years Roy, Pominville and Gaustad.

What's wrong with Briere - only 19 pts in 14 games?

Maybe we can give that one a rest now.

Only if he stays at the current pace. 111 pts would be worth the $5 million. 109? Run him out of town :nana:

  7. Yeah would be really tough to move Anaheim to the East sometime between now and June. ;)

I SOOOOO do not care who we play anymore ... screw revenge. Win the damn Cup, I don't care how. I honestly can't say it would be better depending on who they beat. At this point, I am a beggar, not a chooser.

I'm also a Red Sox fan. Yes I enjoy pain.

Beating the Yankees the way the Sox did was better then what happened in the actual World Series. Who did they beat. The Cards I think.

I know it shouldn't matter. I just want to rub it the faces of the franchises that for years dismissed the Sabres.

I think the Sabres Cup Parade should go up the QEW to downtown Toronto and back. :chris:

  8. I wish this game was in Toronto. Because I wouldn't mind the Leafs winning.

Before your heads explode let me explain.

The only thing the Sabres are missing this season is that Monster Rival. I know the Leafs are considered a rival but they're not considered a threat. With teams like the Bruins and Flyers being the also rans something seems to be missing.

I think the Sabres are going to win the Cup. It would be a bit more enjoyable if the teams that prevented Cups in this teams history were the teams the Sabres beat in the Playoffs.

    My Dream playoffs.

    1st round Bruins

    2nd Round Flyers

    3rd Round Leafs

Finals Avs - just because they used to be in Quebec.

I still pine for the old Adams Division. Go ahead. Call me whatever. I'm waiting :bag:

    Go Sabres

  9. Sorry. Too busy to read all 120 posts. But from the posts I did read I am surprised Vanek isn't getting more talk. He scored a big goal and if a lesser goalie is in net he could have had 2 or three more.

I know it's only four games. But I think Vanek is showing flashes of what a complete player he can be. If he plays at this level this season and for the rest of his career this kid will be a superstar.

  10. 3 and ohhhhhhhhhhh. 3 games in 4 nights. no top centerman in the lineup. 2 road wins.

    um..... I'LL TAKE IT!

sloppy shmoppy, a win is a win and at the end of the year nobody remembers how the points were added up, they just were.

    wooohooo

The win is great. But that's 23 penalties in three games. That's living on the wildside. It's early so I hope this doesn't become a trend. Tough smart hockey is what this team needs to play. ;)

  11. Simply as a spur for discussion and not to spoil the mood, I thought Kalinin didn't have that good of a game defensively. He made a great breakout pass on Briere's goal, but seem to get beat a lot and outmuscled in his own end.

The kid is young and still learning. Zhitnik was his mentor and he was lost for a bit when he left. When

he is on his game he is an AllStar. ;)

  12. I love spring time. I get the Leafs radio station in the spring and summer. They actually think they are going to the playoffs. It's great. I can't wait until their dreams are crushed.

The worst thing about being a Leaf fan? Wishing every day that your favorite team would have been the Habs.

And Go Philly. With Forsberg healthy? Bring on the Rangers. :o

  13. 4-3 Carolina. How much did that crappy 4th goal hurt us? Yes it's our 3rd loss in a row, but take heart in the fact the Sabres woke up from their slumber in the 3rd. I was getting really worried. I wonder if this team is starting to run out of gas?

    PTR

Really PTR? How many times has an NHL team went on a scoring streak then followed it up by a slump? Evry time?

They are locked into fourth. Considering that 8th will be the Thrashers or the Devils? I don't want 1st.

  14. Actually, that is how I looked at closing time at brick bar.

Are you saying? ........play theme from 'Crying Game'..........

The worst thing about this loss is that the Sabres are only 9 points ahead of 5th place with only 1 game in hand. Oh lordy be, oh lordy be.

I don't care about 1st overall. I just want to know when the playoff tickets go on sale so I can take the day off and and be at the Arena when it opens.

  15. OK guys. step away from the Panic button.

How many 2-0 leads have the Sabres washed away in the last month. Sens excluded.

You didn't think the Sabres would run the table? Every poster to a man, or women, thought that this part of the schedule would be a monster for the Sabres. Even thought they started 8-1 it's still a tough schedule. Add in a couple of untimly injuries. I think the Sabres will have a tough time winning 4 out of every five like they have been doing. ;)

    They look....Retarded.

What the hell is that a picture of. I think I woke up next that after a night at Brick Bar. :o

  16. The lead can be cut to two tonight with a litle help from the Thrashers. I wonder if some of the Sens recent stumbles are from looking over their shoulder. The Sens have never been considered mentaly tough. There is more then a good chance the Sabres and Sens could be dead even at the break. Won't that be interesting to talk about for two weeks.

  17. What does everyone think of the goalie situation for the rest of the week? I say Miller Thursday, Biron Saturday, Miller Sunday.

With a big break coming up I would hope Lindy plays Miller the final three. Miller is great but is also young and seems to play better with alot of work. If Marty does play one? I also think it should be the Panthers. Carolina would be another "message game" and I would hope Miller and Briere would be in the lineup then.

When the break is done the Sabres might actually be at full strength. There are a bunch of decisions to be made as far as the roster goes.
