    I am far away from blaming Botteril... Far far far away. Who thought he is coming in and turning this around in one summer is dreaming. Botteril is starting to build it from the bottom up and thats the only way you can do it. He invested a lot into Rochester and the team is able to compete for the first time in years. That will benefit the prospects a lot. This way the Sabres might ahve guys in the future they can call up that can actually contribute. Because let's face it guys like baptiste or bailey have talent but they didnt make any progress at all with the old rochester teams.

     

    It will take another or maybe 2 years to turn this team around. Depending on if they get Dahlin. (He will end up in Edmonton or Pittsburgh though)

    Key will be better drafting. And at least this year it looks a lot better than in the past. Mittelstadt could end up being a great great pick. Davidsson has made steps forward in the SHL and even the picks from later rounds don't see to bust at all so far.

    well USA dominated... they could have 5 or 6 goals tonight but Greiss stole that one...

     

    Outside of Gaudreau, who might miss the rest of this game, this team looks like ######.  There is no way the USA should be losing to freaking Germany in hockey.  Soccer?  Sure, no doubt.  But hockey?!

     

    Well don't look at the USA vs. Germany games in the past as Germany has won them quite often :-P ... like 1 year ago ;)

    It's tough at times... like last thursday vs. dallas.

     

    You get the feeling they are about to take the next step and then it's 2 periods of terrible terrible hockey. Even with a 2 goal lead nothing went to "control mode"

     

    The game started 2:30 am here and when you stay up the night to watch something like that its really really depressing. I do like watching the games but it is really really hard at times and you asking yourself "Why am I doing this" .... but a few days later you are in front of the TV again hoping for better results...

    with Eichel: 1,29 points per Game. Over 82 games: 105,43 points

    without Eichel: 0,90 points per Game. Over 82 games: 74,19 points

     

    granted that will go down but still.... To say Eichel's injury is no excuse is ridiculous. 

     

     

     

    with Stamkos: 1,23 points per Game. Over 82 games: 101,29 points

    without Stamkos: 0,75 points per Game. Over 82 games: 61,5 points

     

    granted that will go up but still...

     

    dunno if you want me to post the with and without record for Price or Crosby or...

    due to the time difference I can only watch those games live on friday and saturday.

     

    but man going through these threads after a game is always fun... "from fire everybody this team is terrible 1st overall here we come" to "man why shouldn't we win 6 in a row, playoffs here we come" :D

     

    bottom note for more than a year I was hoping for the McCabe - Risto pair.... FINALLY!!!!
