I like Ruff but this is ridiclious especially considering the much better options currently out there. Was giving Adams the benefit of the doubt however it's time for him to go!

Lol, so Sheldon Keefe is also going to be available. Hmmm.....

I'm not the biggest Owen Power fan but my mind could be changed as I would like to see how he plays under a veteren experienced coach.

The Peca situation is a head scratcher. You mean you really needed Ellis on the bench that badly? Christie was a Granato guy but Ellis should have been shuffled elsewhere.
How tight are Peca and Ellis?
Maybe Adams has already talked to and selected his guy and that guy wanted to keep Ellis.

IMO there is no way it's going to be Ruff. Adams is lucky he wasn't also shown the door with Granato and his crew. Ruff isn't the answer anymore and there are much better options currently. Ruff is nothing but nostelgia wants if he were selected, and I can't see Adams hitching his wagon to that when superior options are out there, that would be a piss poor decision on Adams behalf, he's got to do better than Ruff, has to.

Brind Amour is my first choice
Peca is very intriguing
Craig Berube would be interesting
No to Ruff, that ship saild a long time ago and hasn't been overly successful at his other stops after Buffalo. Front office of some sort sure, behind the bench, resounding no.

Boy, Quinn is good, if he could only get past his recent injury issues.

What sucks is somebody is getting in with 91, 90 or less points

Before writing off this group, I need to see them perform under an established good NHL veteran coach.

I have to believe TPegs will make changes, how can he not? I think he is trying to find similarities to what he found with the Bills and just hasn't found it yet. He is willing to make changes, they just haven't been the right changes. Hopefully he can find the right guys because this franchise is an embarrassment right now and has been for quite a while. Absolutely can not run out the same cast of characters behind the bench next year.

If Granato is back next year, I'm wont be. Idc if he's lost the room or not because he's lost the fans. Deservedly so.
Yup, Dons home record since taking over is 52-57-11, that inferior of a home product is just flat unaccaptable and fans have every right to revolt and be pissed. There is no good reason not to fire Granato after this year. Just 5 more points at home last year and again this year would have been playoffs each year, Don has to go. Had enough of mediocre incompetance coaching being accptable from Pegula for both Sabres and Bills.

When I hold a SSer in high regard, I’ll refrain from taking their grammar to task. @Weave is my boy. I couldn’t do him like that. Until now I suppose. 😀
As far as would have, could have, should have. Ha it autocorrected. Since when? Today ? Anyway, so many people Jack that up that I lost hope a while ago.
I used to get my panties in a twist over people’s grammar here. Since, I’ve take a more laid back approach and just kinda snicker when I see it. If people want to out themselves as poorly educated, have at it.
and the ignorance and arrogance around here is a whole nother story.

Frankly IDGAF one bit about spelling or grammar because I know people fat finger the letters on the small phone keyboards or have auto correct screw things up and we live in an acronym, abbreviation world today etc etc. So if somebody actual cares about that and gets all worked up about it on some internet sports forum it's on them.

Why do I sense an Erik Johnson connection here.

We should keep him, and only him, from the 4th line. He is a bull.
I may be in the minority but I don't really mind Okposo that much.

🤔 up to this point in his career he is about a 40 point player. If you just take the last three seasons (with the Sabres) he’s only 50 points.
if this team continues to develop and not regress (like this season) I could see him being higher. He’s on pace for around 60-65 this season.
What are you talking about, 166 gp 151 pts in Buffalo. That is damn near a point a game.
I'll give you the Vegas years but he was also young and finding himself then, kind of like Casey, Tage, Dylan, etc.

Why are we assuming he’s hurt? He has a career year last season just like the whole team. He is NOT a 80 pt player, he’s about half that on average. Since he is at 34 points with 40 games left, I’d say he is going to be well above average.
i think he’s fine.
stop comparing this team to last season, it was an anomaly.
Tuch is way more than a 40pt player.

To the Jays fans here, how many recall the story of Chris Colabello?
Colabello hit .321 in 2015 until he got caught using PED's. After that, he had a few years in the minors before his career completely fizzled out.
I know this is going to bring out the regular chorus of boo birds, but any time I see an athlete fall off the cliff as Thompson has, my mind goes to PED's. Was he taking something last year (and the end of the season before) to give him an edge?
Likely, Thompson needs surgery and is playing in pain... Either that or he's mentally checked out and isn't putting in the work off the ice. Ever since Colabello though, I'll always wonder about PED's for guys who fall off a cliff like Thompson. (The exception is Alek Manoah, who seems to have fallen victim to the 🍩 rather than PED's).
Or could be as simple as bad coaching.

IMO the only way this works is if Peca and McKee are his assistants.
