This team has no clue on how to play OT hockey. That sits in the lap of Don.

Team played horribly in the first period. UPL was on his own and a motivated Senators team buried him. This home stand was their last chance to make a run for the playoffs. The players stunk. Don is like but not feared. This gets you fired.. ASAP!

Ignore the contract or Adams. Bales is excluded because UPL.
What have Granato and his assistants done that deserves retention for next season?
They could not get this group to play consistently. The players like him but that is not enough. Do they have talent? Yes. Need to tell Don and staff thanks but time to move on to the next level. Nothing done merits them coming back.

Like to see a Sabres regulation win here. They are playing a very solid game.

Sabres are getting confidence. They can be dangerous.

How I feel watching Toronto go home after a game like this.

6 goals is the most dangerous lead in hockey
Specially if they pull their goalie. Make the Lethal Leafs. PS Like he is doing anything anyway.

The Peace Bridge will not be peaceful tonight. The Leaf fans will be in a surly mood. That makes me very happy!

Toronto is the cure for whatever ails the Sabres. Who can figure out this team? They will make Granato talk to himself behind the bench.

No. It was not.
For two years, 200-3-2005, the team was in limbo. Rigas empire was in tatters and the fate of the Sabres was in the balance. Rumors of a new owner and moving the team were rampant. In 2008-2009 Jim Balsillie was with a group trying to land a team in Hamilton. The Sabres were in their sights. Fortunately Gallisano resisted and sold the team to the Pegulas.

An fans start a “Sell the Team” chant next game. Might be our only hope at this point
New owner moves team. NHL gone from WNY forever. This was close to happening before the Pagula's bought it. I am disgusted but not to this suicidal level.

The look on Granato's face at the end of the game said it all. He was totally disgusted with his team. They need a inferno lit under them and start holding them accountable in the press conferences. Some guys should not make long range plans to be in Buffalo.

I can tell by the tone of his voice that Razor is aggravated by their play.

There was some good hustle on that goal.

The entire team has regressed accept for JJP and Mittlestadt. That has to be a coaching problem, there is no other reasoning for it!
When Ruff was the HC, there would be bag skates and other motivating tactics. All Granato does is talk. They might like him but they are hanging him out to dry,

This is not a team. This is once again a collection of guys who have talent. They are not acting as a cohesive unit. Aggravating that basic hockey is not being played. If they have zoned on the coaches the owner has to act.

Power and Joker are -4. Time to break that up. Power is looking very rusty.

Granato is a nice guy but these lunk heads are not listening. The avalable HC types out there are limited.

This is the kind of game and effort that gets your coach fired.

Soft goal. Levi went down too early even if it was a slick shot. Learning life of a goalie in the NHL.
-
This group has talent but lack the discipline to play good hockey. Too many mistakes lead to goals. How they can look a goalie in the eye and not apologize is beyond me.

Meatballs needs to light these mofos up and tell ‘em to shoot the effin puck.
His laid back personality defeats that idea. Your point is spot on. This was a problem under him. These players are looking for the perfect pass rather than shoot.

Lindy Ruff officially hired as Sabres HC
in The Aud Club
Posted
Lindy is flexible in style of play. He tries to tailor it to the talent on the team. The man also is one to enforce accountability which was lacking. Look forward to his assistant coach hires and him getting this team on the right path to the playoffs.
