  1. I believe there are guys on the team that this doesn’t phase them. Dylan Cozens, Tuch, Dahlin, this eats them up. Cozens is not there just collecting, this is seriously hurting him. His character and roots dictate that. He will be better. But he needs a vocal coach to rid him of the fry. My goodness

I would trade or package Power in a skinny minute while he still has people fooled and high value.

I’m not so sure. Some wanted to move on from Hedman early on.

  2. Cozens is all heart and this is hurting him and his pride. But I don’t see him being the type to just keep accepting this. He will try to improve. I believe that. His vocal fry, however, belongs on the bachelor.

Insaid it in another thread but when Sergei Gonchar offers advice to a Quinn Hughes, his resume dictates that he should be listened to and respected. Matt Ellis commands absolutely nothing.

As for Byram I’m not so sure he will bolt so soon but it could mean Power is moved for other pieces.

    Oilers.

To be fair, the Oilers were playing like a$$ at the start, but their team was loaded with talent and they were a Cup pick before season started.

The Canucks were nowhere near projected to be where they are and don’t have the best two forwards in hockey. Tocchet will/should win the Adams.

KA collects players who have never been in the playoffs. Skinner on the vereran side is the most glaring. Doesn’t play defence. On the youngest roster in the league there are many others who have yet to make the show. There’s much that is lacking on this team. We’re seeing the results in this game. Another soul crushing loss to what by all accounts is a lesser team. Late in another season we will miss the playoffs yet again. KA find some capable vets who would literally chew off their foot to get to the dance. And find a coaching staff with years of playoff appearances. Or get out of town.

Well put. In off season I try to move Skinner and retain whatever we have to within reason. If no trade, he has to be bought out.

Tonight it looked like Cozens was not into it.

Definitely need some vets who will ruffle feathers.

Coaching staff has to change. An example of not being ready was tonight and to not call a timeout at 2, then 3 nothing is unacceptable. Feelings being hurt doesn’t matter either. UPL didn’t have it tonight and after 3 he should have been pulled. The game was salvageable at 3 and Levi playing well game them a chance. Off season is gonna be very interesting, or it should be.

  5. When locker cleanout interviews take place I am curious to hear what injuries guys have been  been carrying. I believe Tage has been dealing with that cheap kick he took against Boston when Mcavoy cut his leg. I bet it’s been bugging him all year, as is hos hand which Mcavoy also did.

Ivthink some top players (Tuch) have had something abnormal and for longer than the usual “banged up” issues all players have.

  6. We have a lot of solid pieces but I do believe we need better coaching all ‘round.

I take the Canucks as an example. Tocchet took a team playing loosey goosey and brought in a coaching staff that were top level when they played. And they’re all in the same page. And the team has structure.

I’m sure everyone likes DG but he’s too nice. They need discipline and structure and assistant coaches with clout. In Vancouver QH has Gonchar making suggestions or tweaks, and QH can respect that. In Buffalo we have Matt Ellis running the PP, a journeyman plug. Nobody is respecting his takes, nobody.

Once coaching staff is sorted then it’s time to decide on making another hockey trade like CM for Byram. I’m not on board moving Power as defense is too easily given up on. We have 3 top defense now and we need to build around them. Moving some top prospects should start happening and possibly moving in from a TT for another more well-rounded forward should be considered. I believe someone like Krebs needs a top level coach to bring out his best. Many do.

Will we make it next year? How can anyone know? But it’s easy to say no.
